Could you suggest me more "deep" rims. I wanna get Campag record hubs and someone suggested me to lace them on Ambrosio rims. But I like to look of "deep" V, obviously I don't wanna get full deep V's.
Still cant decide which wheels to go for...
What would be the better option from the following:Ambrosio fcs35(620g per rim) laced on Campag Record(do they come in 24 drilling?)
Campag Sirocco set,
Fulcrum Racing 5,
or
Fulcrum Quattro -

Bought this Colnago off the forum, planning to build it before the end of the summer.
Very nice frame, proper old school framebuilding, will make a very nice base for my build. The frame had a bit of a harsh life in the past, paint has aged, chrome has big rust dots.Thats how it looked fully built :
Currently :
Aiming for this:
http://lh4.ggpht.com/-DTa9ylM6K_o/UKJf0urPmXI/AAAAAAAAKB8/jzTInguioLc/s0/IMG_1960.JPG
Components:
Campagnolo Centaur Groupset Alloy (red edition)
Ambrosio Rims laced on Campagnolo record hubs (not sure yet)
3ttt original quill stem, 26.
Not sure about the handlebars,
Saddle, most likely Fizik Arione.Plan:
Grind the old chrome off
Polish
Sandblast
Inspect the frame
Chrome
Get it painted

Got a quote from http://www.atlantic-boulevard.co.uk/index.htm for chroming rear triangle, fork and restoration of the paint for £450. almost twice as much for the price I paid for the frame itself.

Could someone advice me on how to do the following:
Basically I've got a Colnago frame that needs re-chroming and re-paining. So how should I do it ? Shot-blast > Re-chrome > re- spray paint ?! ... Also, would shot-blasting remove a chrome from the frame ?
Could you advice me on places where I can re-chrome and how much would it cost roughly (there are plenty of threads on chroming, none of which mention a decent place of having a frame chromed).
As far as I understood; the best place for shot blasting and re-spray is Armourtex. -
