Hi, I've got a wheelset currently languishing in the shed which could do with a new home.
Photos of the wheels:
https://photos.app.goo.gl/vAuENjHK4jvgSPLf7
They've not been used for a few years so could do with a polish up, although the hubs are shinier in real life than perhaps the photos show.
Both rims are true with very little wear. I'm pretty sure I serviced both hubs and put in new grease and bearings shortly before switching the bike to 11 speed in 2017.
I bought the wheels from a guy on eBay who sold them as c-record although I'm no great expert. Looking at them now the rear hub is maybe different to the front, but have a look and let me know what you think. Can include the cassette and chain which I think did less than 1000 km. Looking for about £100?

Is anyone familiar with the new cycle lanes that have been put in around Camden over the last couple of months? Some of them seem very poorly implemented, my current fave is the segregated lane on York way between agar grove and market road. What was previously a wide and fairly innocuous stretch is now a segragated bike lane through the bus stop, with parked cars on the right. The road is significantly narrowed which seems to have worsened the traffic going north.
It makes the right turn onto market road really dangerous as there is no space or time to pull out from the bike lane, across the line of parked cars and traffic which is mostly going straight on, and then onto the roundabout. If I take the road then I just get abuse from arseholes telling me to use the bike lane.
I'm all for improving cycling infrastructure but it's frustrating when it seems to make life worse for cyclists. Is there anywhere I can send some feedback, or perhaps gain a better understanding of the overall plans for the area?

Hi, I've got an Iro Mark v in black, think it's a 59cm if of interest? Have just fitted an almost new surly pacer fork and 32c tires front and back, rides really nicely. Also have the original fork.
Its about 12 years old so has plenty of signs of use, but nothing too dramatic. one small dent in the top tube.
Also has a nearly new rear wheel with surly fixed/free hub. Can take a couple of photos tomorrow if of interest?

We've just put one on my wife's bike, primarily for our 3.5 year old who loves it. His sister has also had a go, she's 2 in october and was fine, although she seemed keen to take her hands off the bars to play with the bell. Given a little more time I'm sure she would be no problem at all.
I wish they weren't so expensive as I'd get another one to replace the rear mounted seat on my bike. It seems so much more fun having them upfront, although depending on the size of bike you might find it clashes with your knees.

Has anyone got any tent recommendations to comfortably sleep 2 adults and 2 young children for our first foray into family camping? Seems like the options are either a 15-20kg behemoth to get 2 separate sleeping areas, or something like this tipi style which is lighter and simpler to set up..

Ha ha, the low-tech approach.
Yes we'll give the apple tree some love this year. It produces absolutely loads of apples, more so on the neighbours side of the fence frustratingly.
He spends all day everyday tending his allotment, yet the garden has been completely abandoned to the foxes. Can't for the life of me understand why.

Hey Ed, I was hoping you might chip in! Thanks for the insight, the apple tree is also ours and also needs some attention. The garden to our right is a wilderness so I don't think they care what goes on, the other side are out sweeping their decking every day so the cedar must be a nuisance.
Once we get back to some semblance of normality I'll some quotes for the work, we're just up the road from you in E4 do you know of any local companies who are good? Or do you work this side of town?
The coffee grinder is still going strong by the way.

Adding to the recent tree chat, we've got this massive cedar(?) at the back of our smallish garden. Photo taken from loft window to give an idea of size.
Can anyone advise how much it is possible to trim/tame something of this size? I'd hate to get it cut down, but it overhangs both gardens either side of ours and must drive the neighbours mad with the constant needle dropping. It makes half our garden more or less unusable due to the shade, bird shit, and dropped needles and cones.
