I went to Finnsbury park last weekend to check out that new ultra smooth flatground park that had been put it. Turns out there was a festival being set up and they'd ripped out all the modules and fenced it off. Some young'uns turned up and and pretty swiftly broke in to skate, so we followed em in. Had about 15mins on some butter smooth concrete before getting busted and moved on.
Also went to Oxhey on Sunday, that place is mega, super fun and well built. But damn it's chock full of kids and worse, parents who think they're the centre of the fucking universe; one dad stepped on me (full foot) and didn't even flinch whilst he kept his eye on his precious offspring, didn't say sorry, didn't acknowledge, stayed stood on my foot for about 10 seconds and just walked off.

Yeah that looks mad / fun; I saw it browsing a few pages back and would love to do it. Seems like a good meander outwards West and East though. I was wondering if anyone had something a bit more direct. Not sure there's much of an 'enjoyable' route like that though.

I've been researching routes and I think much of this used in a fair few of them to keep the elevation under control.

Honestly, the the Crux's are soooo close to being absolutely banging paintjobs but the stripes are fully own goal behaviour. I went for Dove Grey purely out of despair.

Cheapo lazy dad bodge-hack... blast some GT85 in the bearings. Won't be good long term but if it gets them rolling for a bit longer and you have to replace the bearings anyway, then worth a squirt.
Bushings though, probably worth replacing, when they're fucked, they're fucked.

Which nations gravel are they replicating this year? They already did the UK's that one time.
