don't see why a distinction should be made between new and old, They will be meeting new people regardless, but will probably have a less experienced route setter, and at the end of it wont know what a forum ride is like! Not to discourage it, I just feel they should simply create or join a more general forum ride instead

Is it a deliberate feature that we can't delete our posts any more? I'm guessing that the lack of quotes in replies is deliberate, but am not sure about the deletion. Maybe a list of deliberate changes would be useful.

I asked this during testing and it turns out you couldn't delete post in the old forum

Yeah but with the added personal notification that comes up in following, I have never said I didn't like the old way but I do like this way too just needs some tweaking.

I just wondered it there was a best practice, thanks for the advice ill keep doing what I'm doing of googling similar events finding posters i like the look of and copying the design then.

Its getting annoying that people reply but don't quote the text they are replying to, it would be cool to have the quoted text appear as default

I normally have 2x jet valve camelbacks and a 1.5 litre metal bottle in pannier. If your using purification tablets you will want a bottle that's a bit larger or you will be wasting a lot of tablets
