Hi Forum,
If you had this frame and 250pounds to build a geared road bike for summer commuting and weekend rides....What would you do?
concorde by RobertYoghurt, on FlickrSo far I'm thinking
Forks: Chrome, columbus to match the frame or similar
Components: Second hand 105 to keep it cheap yet decent quality (already have a chain/crank set, shifters and rear mech)
Chinelli stem and bars (seem to crop up in classifieds all the time for little to nothing) with white tape
Black seat post with white Turbo saddle
Wheels: Open Pro's with 105 hubs
These are just my initial thoughts based on budget and the aesthetic I'm looking for, very much open to suggestions from people with more experience of this type of project.

Picked this up very cheap off original owner, been sitting in his shed for the last 10 years gathering rust and he wanted rid of it
Think its a PRN 10, Reynolds 531, have got the original tubular wheels (very rusty) and stronglight cranks as well.
prn10 by RobertYoghurt, on FlickrOn initial inspection it looks like the headset and BB will need to be replaced, I think they're both french threads which I've heard can be tricky. The seat post is going to be a bitch to get out as well.
Am wondering whether it will be worth pouring money into it and restore with as many original or similar parts as I can find or just convert into a trusty beater.
Either way will need a trip to Armortex as there's a lot of corrosion on the frame.
Its a large frame as well, 63cm. I'm 6ft 1in so will just about fit but my two other bikes are 57/58cm and am very comfy on those.
Other option of course is to sell it on here...
Has anyone embarked on similar projects? I'm up for a challenge but I guess I'm keen to know whether it will turn out to be more money and time than its worth to restore to its former glory....

Hi All,
Picked this frame up a while ago, attached some old and shit parts I picked up for cheap and has been my winter hack for the past six months. However it's such a good, comfy, fast ride that I'm thinking of building it up with some quality components and would be grateful if anyone could help ID the frame???
As you'll see from the pictures it has a Columbus decal, chrome lugging and Peugeot forks, I'm assuming the frame is Peugeot as well but have no idea of its history so can't be sure...

Hi I'm new here, thought I'd introduce myself
I'm 26, from London, I've recently started a couple of projects and this seemed like a good place to share what I'm doing, get some friendly advice.
I go on regular short rides, 20-30 miles, and am keen to find some good routes in and out of London and maybe meet ups once I get to know peeps on here a bit better.
I am relatively new to this game so expect some ignorance (and feel free to give me a hard time for it) but got to start somewhere!
Here's my fisher price first project...more details on other threads of this and other projects
