I would only get the mongar over the star river if you're planning to get the extra vestibule. The poles of the star river fold up a bit shorter so that would be my pick.

I don't know how fit you are, but my lowest is 19 inch and climbing offroad on a packed bike I'm often on it. But I'm far from skinny and also not an experienced climber.

Been cycling two years now on 29 2.2 tyres and I really enjoy them. They just keep on rolling and are so comfortabele. The time people thought 28mm tyres would slow you down is gone and bikes will keep on getting bigger tyres.

Unless you cycle a lot of offroad, you'll probably miss the smaller gear jumps that you would have on a 2x setup.
