Unsure about saddle too. I was planning to use a San Marco Aspide with carbon rails and bought it 1,5 year ago. But in the meantime I've used a Selle Italia Model X on another bike and its insanely comfortable with the wide shape and short nose . But, weight is more than double (314gr) than the Aspide (143gr). Both Italian though. In looks, I'm tending slightly to the Model X. What are the internet thoughts?

Some work on the cockpit: routed the cable outers through the handlebars. Still a bit of fiddling to do to find the cleanest way to guide the shift cables to the cable stops, but will be ok. Also put in place the custom carbon topcap that I made to cover the steerer. Carbon plate, painted with Colnago logo + 2K gloss varnish.

I've posted this in some other thread with ahead stem adapters, don't remember which one exactly but made this picture back then to clarify.
It's a chopped adapter, with a slotted sleeve around it. Stem clamps on the sleeve. By chopping the adapter you loose the ability to preload the headset bearings, but this can be done with a vice grip when you remove the front wheel. Bit of a hassle but it works and gives a clean look.

Yesterday I've waxed the frame with Turtle wax and prepped it for building up. All threads have been chased and cleaned so frame was ready to build today. Pressed in the deanodized and polished Tange Seiki headset, installed the adapter & painted stem and bars. Installed some more parts for a quick snap in the sun. The seatpost with setback will be replaced with an inline to get position right. Later on, I've put in place the Athena 5 arm crankset + 12 sp Record front derailleur.

Guess who's back
Back again
Nago's back
Tell a friend1,5 years later and I finally managed to pickup the Master. What a wait. Freshly painted in champagne gold color, lugs and front fork rechromed. Also had the standard downtube shift cable stops changed to braze on type, with brass barrel adjusters.
All parts are collected, I'll get this one on the road soon.

I'm with @SWijland here. I admire your perserverance in finding the exact one, but in my experience one of 4mm insert diameter should also work. I would pre-bend the outer cable a bit in the required shape and than just try it. If the exit angle under tension is still not exactly what you want, I would 'shim' the 4mm part of the ferrule just a little with a thin layer of duct-tape, teflon,.... in order to get a better fit.

Good news: I requested to adapt some small details in the decals into black/white/red colours to match the Record logo's on derailleurs, brakes & shifters, and it looks great.
Bad news: an idiot in a car hit me on (another) bike yesterday. Wrist is broken so no bike building the following day's/weeks...
