You'll be back on a bike soon enough!
If you can ,
use other sports to maintain stamina.
Swimming was mentioned earlier, kids can always use some time in the water at this age,
you ll be their raft/motor.
Cheat ,use fins!
Walks, runs possible?
Or just build a parent child tandem for our viewing pleasure.
Thanks for all the sharing.
Get well soon. -

I ve been running Hutchinson Override 38mm at the rear for 6 months.
Easy to set up on entry level Mavic rims,
19mm internal,
with a small floor pump.
They unsit each time I deflate them but go back up with ease.
The central thread smoomths out quickly, as on the All Rounds I had before.
No idea of my milage,
the edge of the first row of the side knobs is smooth.
They faced all sort of surface,
snow this spring,
dryer and more rocks as I moved on the south edge of the Massif Central.
No cuts,
I m 68kg always with a Carradice on board.
Lighter and more supple than All Rounds ,
I don t expect them to last as long.
But happy for now. -

I did a review on the Schwalbe all round tle 35 a few messages up.
The Pirellis are well reviewed.
Their price put me off,
the Made in France mention was very alluring.I changed my rear tyre to a Hutchinson overide 38 last month.
Very easy to mount on a 22 external mavic rim with the cheapest pump from decathlon.
A bit more supple, lighter,
but probably less p fairy proof.
Used on snow ,
cold and wet roads,
paths,
all good.
I still got the Made in France mention. -
I had the 700x35 All Round last year , couldn't fault them.
Easy to set up on narrow rims 20mm internal,
they would unseat each time I had to put sealant in, and go back up whithout a itch.
No visitations.
Used well into mtb territory,
going ski touring last winter twice a week,
long road rides in the summer.
I m light at 70kg,
run them with 20psi or less,
maybee that helps.
I use Overrides 38mm now,
a bit more supple,
lighter.
Same vibe,
I was worried and bought a mech repair kit,
still haven't used it.
