Serious cyclists don't wear helmets, they just do drugs.

Ullrich confesses to blood doping with Fuentes but insists "I did not abuse Nutella"
My German is a little rusty I think.
My German is gone, but Ullrich always had good communication skills,
starting on the way up to Courchevel:
sold his victory to Virenque for a 100 000.
He lost 200 000 a year in 2006 when kicked out of his consultancy job by the ARD german state owned TV.
Should be the same year they stopped broadcasts of the Tour.
A long time asma sufferer, a fee of 25000 Eu to Dr Fuentes in 2004 emerged.
ADN tests showed his blood was stored there. -
"A low level of cortisol could be indicative of corticoid use or of fatigue."
But their rules are that the rider should be rested. Of course, he's not going to rest if he's not tired and is in fact feeling great because he's using cortisone..
There are very few rules to go by on the MPCC site,
the case is clearly stated.
So it's a very clear concern, and well known to this selfregulated industry.
http://www.mpcc.fr/index.php/fr/mpcc
Bernaudeau is still smiling at the bottom of the page.I did a quick check on daily variations of cortisol level on a health forum:
the samples should be taken from 7 to 9am,
it was stated as well that low cortisol levels can lead to sudden deaths. -
Is the clearance rate of bike theft cases,
mentioned at any time in this lengthy video?
How many theft are never reported?
The majority of the theft are commited in heavily policed area,
with cams all over the place. -
And from Obvious News Is Obvious.. the Dutchies love to get on it..
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/doping-rampant-amongst-dutch-cyclists-earlier-report-says
It's quiet old so I may get the nationality wrong,
the first reported fatalities due to EPO were of 2 young, possibly dutch , riders during their sleep. -

french magazine article comparing raw data from 21 riders. Green is clean, yellow suspicious, orange miraculous and red means they've had a dose of gamma radiation
Article if anyone fancies showing off their GCSE French

Sandro Donati (expert antidopage du CONI).
They teamed with this internet forum for data:

The link is to Marc Madiot page, Rolland's boss.
Colourful.
Any translation needed, just call. -
Sylvain Georges is fired from AG2R.
His team manager is the treasorer of mpcc,
whose team didn't enter the Dauphine,
complying to the rules .Rolland's case is clearly indicated on the mpcc site in rule n° 6 here:
http://www.mpcc.fr/index.php/fr/mpcc
His team manager is heading the national league,
it's first rule is:
1°) To protect the physical integrity of professionals racers
http://www.lncpro.fr/decouvrez/?Content=statuts-missions&PHPSESSID=icbd34vrnbj79c1gkq1pcgbcg6
There are 4 rules, the first 3 were broken in this case.He won't be fired.

Very nice,
on the close ups the welds look a bit rough.
Or is it just me? -
I red the piece above,
very clever piece to cover such a hot trail. The team manager explained the 6 times less hormone concentration by a too early test, what about the others done within an hour?
Does this hormone vary so wildly usually along the day?
When is a good time?
The people running the tests should know of this,
why did they proceeded that way?Let's try this entirely fictional story:
a team complying to the mpcc rules did not register ,
2 of its riders failed tests.
All the teams know about the results of the rider's test,
the rider still started the race,
the other teams complained.
The mpcc is run by all the big hitters in the industry,
they would loose face,
they made a few phone calls
"You're making us look bad, you're attracting attention, etc"
possibly in a Marlon Brando's impression.Racer retires after 20k.
Manager explains to the sponsors, "it's them". -
I've run a 94 alu frame until last year.
I was lucky to have ended up with a 1 1/8" frame.
Front end started rigid,
moved on to a modern (then)125mm fork against the advice of all,
it worked marvels.
Started singlespeeding with a rigid on one 410mm fork, very harsh downhill.
Stick a suspended corrected modern fork on it without hesitation if you can.
A few pros can change Marzocchi steel 1 1/8" stearers to 1" if you want sus.
I would run 2 sets of wheels cheap ones with skinny tires for the road. -
Any chance of a translation into English? :-)
I'll shorten things a bit if you don't mind.
Rolland retired 20km after the start, due to a tendinitis...The rider shouldn't have competed on the grounds of concerns for his health,
moreover his team is part of a new self regulatory body MPCC : Mouvement for a credible cyclism(guffaw),
which specifies that in those cases riders wouldn't start.
The team's doctor, head coach, and manager were all aware of this and still got him on the start.
His condition can be triggered by the use of corticoids.
His team was recently the subject of an enquiry about the alleged use of transfusions and corticoids.
The case was dropped
Charteau in 2012, same team ,didn't start a 4 days race due to a freakish blood test result -
A better batch of Tourmalet pictures, truly amazing.

Just saw on twitter:
http://bicycling.com/blogs/theselection/2013/06/07/an-immodest-proposal-for-doping-closure/
Bill Strickland has invited all living TdF winners to a closed doors (no media...except himself of course) discussion to try and settle who doped, who didn't, who cares, who should be a 'winner' etc etc
Armstrong has agreed to do it.
Looks like bollocks to me.
"Living TdF winners"
Might of interest to resurect satistics of the average life expectancy of pro cyclists, compared to the general population.
Same discrepancies occur for Italian footballers, there are/were a few lawsuits of widows.
Anquetil interview on when doping wasn't illegal:"You must be daft or a hypocrit to imagine a pro cyclist can cope 235 days a year without stimulants"
"I doped because everyone was doping" -

Marshall " Major" Taylor.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marshall_Taylor
Won most things when allowed to compete.
The doping was already there, nitroglycerine the fav at that stage.
The Tour is still an all male thing today,
the diversity of our societies not really mirrored.
Still some way to go.
