I did not know it was that bad.
The penultimate paragraph is sobering.

I ve ridden Schwalbe all round and Hutchinson Overide in 35 and 38 respectively.
No lalalas on either of them, commuting in town, and gravel.
Fairly priced, Overides often come in bargain duo bundle.
I m light at 70 kg and run them at the lowest pressure.
Override are more comfy and light, but wear faster than the Schwalbe. -

My daughter landed her first job,
she wants a watch. She likes gold,
breathe..,
the only watch that made it past this was an Anordain,
may I give thanks to this thread?
Braun and Mondaine suggestions were accepted.
Anybody has got any ghosts in a draw to pass on?
Something Euro made possibly ,
budget is 400 Euros max. -

Lip was a household name ,
it went bust in 1977,
it s long and adventurous demise is marvelously decripted in this documentary.

I was worried about this,
as I kept my previous boards for a decade each.
First one had 2 seasons rental under its belt,
the second a year of use by a local.
First one softish all rounder,
second ultrastiff freeride,
none primo brands.
Nothing changed ,
disclaimer I m under 70kg,
never ride around resorts. -

I slowly grabbed pieces of this puzzle second hand,
32 holes disk hubs,
Hope back and Son front.
Then came some carbon rims,
32 mm wide.
never had any before,
love pawing them ,
so light!I'm a bit stumped about the spokes.
From what I remenber reading I should go two cross.
I'm tempted to use Sapim lasers this time,
never dared to before.
I am under 70kg ,
32 spokes is aplenty.I do gravel,
light touring,
using 35mm tyres.
Bladed spokes maybe to cope with the stiff rims? -

I have been rolling on Hutchinson Overide 38mm since last spring,
city riding to work and gravel fun when allowed.
They don't leak air,
but every morning after a few months ,
I notice wet patches on the middle of the tyre.
I still have the Schwalbe allround at the front,
it seldomely presented the same leeks at the back,
almost none at the front. It's great reminder to top up sealant regularly,
but I don't seem to use much more than before.
I thought the tyre was lighter and showing its age,
but it looks it has some life left.
Both tyres have had no visitations .
Should I be worried? -

I ve tried the mtb Fizik Artica,
I could go for half a size under my normal size,
but that s ok,
I want the space for big socks.Had two 2 hours rides in just above freezing temperatures,
and sunny conditions.
I wasn t cold ,
but not reassured I wouldn't be if I cycled any longer.
I found a lot of moisture in the shoes after a gentle ride,
even though I had backed down the zip for extra ventilation.
I have toe overlap,
whereas theSidi and Shimano summer shoes never been troublesome. -

Have a look at Hutchinson override 38,
I am on my second pair,
like Schwalbe all rounds, they will be slicks pretty quick.
I have had no visitations . Never been gentle to them.
Looking at the tyre rolling resistance data sheet;
they are close to the Pirelli,
but far cheaper,
I would bet they come from the same factory .
