Hola,
Selling up my PM/turbo, as it's sucked all the fun out of riding so am going back to racing on sensations. Not going Teva sandals + dangling enamel mug just yet, but it's a step in that direction. Can post either. Chainset will be like £8 and turbo more like £20-25 at a guess. Or I can deliver up to 50 miles out from Brighton for reasonable fuel costs.
This is by far the best PM I've ever owned, and wouldn't buy anything but Rotor now. Crank arms are 175mm (I'm usually 172.5, and I honestly couldn't tell the difference) and the rings are 52/36. Stiff as feck chainset, looks epic. £500 please
And also my Tacx Flux turbo. Again, best of the bunch as far as I'm concerned - owned/used a few, and this one is ace. Quiet & stable, accurate AF with power/readings. Used 15 times tops - decided these things are evil and so I'm gonna avoid using them forever more. £450 please
Bike is also for sale on this forum.
Cheers all :)

Hi guys,
Having a bit of a change with my riding, and kinda burned too hard through the training/power/numbers side of things. Decided I want a complete change so going to get myself a steel race bike. Returning to the #feels etc etc
In terms of selling, I'm happy to break it down however suits. I've got a couple of other frames I could put the groupset on, however the Rotor InPower (52/36) is definitely going with or without the frame. The rest of the groupset is 5800 105, because racebike. Also selling a Tacx Flux if anyone is interested.
Bought August 2017. Size 56. Steerer is chopped so you'll have to run the front end low, but you'll be able to bring the bars up with a 6/12 degree stem. Current stem is 17 degree 110mm.
PRICING
- Frameset only: £500
- Frameset + Rotor InPower: £1000
- Everything you see in the pictures minus the wheels & pedals: £1200
Can post in UK for a tenner or RoW is no problem, just let me know where you are and I'll get a quote. I work for Hunt so we have good access to reasonable couriers with insurance & good levels of accountability/reliability etc :)
I'd just like to point out here, that this bike is as fast as it looks. Like shit off a stick.
Cheers,
Ollie - Frameset only: £500

Hi chaps,
Thanks to everyone for their comments and feedback. Happy to dispel a few assumptions and hopefully clarify things for you guys, although I'm afraid I don't have the time to answer each and every comment made in the posts above. If you do have any direct questions, fire away and I will endeavour to give you an honest and open response.
We source our components from suppliers in Taiwan, similar to most other brands. It's certainly interesting when you consider how incredibly French Mavic are perceived to be, yet they use some of the same suppliers as we do. I do wonder what informs this perception that products are inherently better if/when made locally. If our website says anywhere at all that the wheels are sourced or made in the UK then please let me know (it doesn't), but I think the huge piece on our homepage about how proud we are to work with Taiwanese experts is much more prominent.
It may seem anecdotal to many, but dealing with the Taiwanese and dealing with the Chinese is chalk and cheese (rhyming unintentional), which is why we do one and not the other. Aside from anything else, the Taiwanese are much better at what they do and we pay anything from 50-70% extra on components than if we just went to China and bought off-the-peg items, but we operate a lean business model that enables us to avoid this.
Similar to the assumption of products' quality in virtue of their location of origin, it's also worth noting that closed-mold products are not inherently better either. They're just exclusive to the brand that paid however many thousands of dollars to make it so. To put it frankly, companies will generally do this for their (commercial) benefit - not yours as a rider. I would personally, at this stage of our journey as a company, rather see that money spent on another member of staff to continue to ensure we can respond to all customer emails within 24hrs and ensure riders are given the information and resources they need to make decisions about what will benefit them.
So yes, we source our components from Taiwan, and proudly so. Yes, some of the components that make up our wheels can be bought on the internet and put together by yourself if you so wish. But most people would agree that things are worth more than the sum of their parts.
P.s. Mr Hao-Cheng, known locally as Jonnie, is very real, and is a prodigiously talented individual. He's personally responsible for overseeing the team that build all of our wheels, including those ridden by Canyon Eisberg at UCI Conti level. If they're good enough to take Chris Opie to 3rd on a TdY stage, then they're good enough for us mortals.
Cheers all, hope none of the above comes off the wrong way or anything. I'm genuinely grateful for the feedback as it helps inform our decisions about what riders want, and how we can better build to serve those needs.
As stated up top, any questions then fire away.
Ollie :)

To be fair, lots of my response was copy & pasted, from times where I've had to clear these things up with people slightly less "throw away" and more "intent that running a wheel company is as simple as buying components wholesale and flogging them all together". I doubt it took as much time as you may suspect.
I, and thousands of others, think our wheels are the nuts. We offer 60-day ride & return to back this up. It's such a long period because so few use it. If you ever wanna try it yourself, drop me a DM and we can figure something out.

Hey Morgan, have you had any personal experience using Hunt wheels or was this from people you know? If you've had a bad experience personally, I'd hope we solved it fairly and quickly. Please drop me a DM if there's any recurring issue you'd like me to help out with.
You're completely right, we do work with Kinlin for many of our rim-brake alloy offerings. The XR-31 is actually a pretty high-end rim, actually using their niobium (T10) aluminium alloy. Kinlin have made rims for many large name wheels brands, and this alloy has been chosen for it's high-strength to weight ratio. It actually costs up to twice as much as regular 6061 stuff. However, since Kinlin rims are available through places like eBay, or elsewhere with very few layers of distribution, the perceived value is not as high, even though the cost to make it is.
Regards the price; It may be possible but I'm not sure you could get that wheel package as a wheelset for a better price than we sell it for. A couple of things to note:
We upgraded the already high-spec straight pull (not standard j-bend) hubs considerably with better bearings and the steel spline insert.
We include high end lightweight brass cam actuation QRs, full tubeless tape and valves are included, and spare spokes.
The triple butted bladed PSR spokes from Pillar are a very high end spoke and made to a very similar spec to those used on Campag Bora Ultra/Fulcrum Racing Speed Carbon wheels, these are not a budget spoke.
Obviously it may be possible to arrange a custom build of these rims in the UK but hopefully we make it fast and easy for customers who value their time as well, which hopefully means they can ride more.
Something that is not always obvious is that many wheel brands, large and small, work with rim suppliers and use their standard rims where they are suitable. Some of our rims are open mold and some are specific to our design where rims were not available. Uniqueness does not improve performance. The most important thing is that the rims are the best spec for the intended use.
I hope this might offer some clarity or insight, but obviously would always welcome your feedback or insight, as it'll only help us make better wheels.
Sorry for the infernal babble! But I (naturally) care quite a lot for our perception in the public, and I think (for the most part) you'll only find people with good things to say about us, our wheels, and the way we approach customer service.
