Don't really see the benefit of a 'normal' look off the bike if it's less practical than my Levi's 511 shorts

Nah HT angle is 73° on those, so -17° would make it parallel with both the flat TT and the floor

I've got a Cannondale CAAD7 Slice fork in my room (1 & 1/8") you can have for a score if you want it. It's a road fork so has a mount for a brake.

It's not a flite. Notice on the bike pic the silver clamping area bit curves away from the black post. The flite is just an angle
