I just polished a seat post from grubby n'scratchy and got rid of must of the light ones. The deep one even look a hell of a lot better, they're still there, but much less noticeable.
Depending on how much effort you want to put in, I'd recommend going to a DIY shop and getting a small polishing mop for a drill. Makes it a lot easier.

^^^ Right but who's budget does that come out of/go into?
Enforcing the rules of the road should/could be self-financing, as we've already invested hundreds of millions over the years in creating the infrastructure. It just needs to be turned on and used.
The biggest problem is getting the politicians to activate it, as its an election loser, thus none will bring it up.

The Deda 215 was one of Armstrong's favourite bars ... Enough said!
I didn't know about the Armstrong connection!
Seriously though .. Looks like you levers are a touch low on the bars.
And I don't think the levers go any higher? They're just about at the point where the bar starts to curve and they'll start sticking out. And its where the cable grooves are too.
Although I do need to take the levers off and put spacers inside, as they were an ebay special and had a little bit missing.

I'd go with some Soma Highway One's and a Cinelli 1a.
If you like them, nothing; this is Current Projects, not Porn. The old-school bend doesn't give a flat transition to the hoods, which a lot of us like. A more modern bend like, for example, Deda RHM01 would, and the shorter throw would allow you to use a more aesthetically pleasing length of stem, and while you're changing length swap to something a little less clunky e.g. a Deda Zero1
The bars came with the frame, but they're 42cm, and I prefer something a little narrower. I was looking at the RHM01 but its black or white, and I was trying to get a bit of a shiny aesthetic going on. Is Deda Zero1 painted or anodised?

Pedals are just to get the bike running. However, I do need something to walk in, as this is going to be my commuter bike. I've got some Eustars coming as the basic Shimano's are half a kilo!
And what's wrong with the bars and stem? :-) Bars are Deda 215 Shallow, and the stem is the easiest I could get in my size for the time being. Recommendations?

This is my first part build. Got it off the forum last Wednesday and after a week of sourcing parts, I spent Friday putting it together. In my day of education about how to put a bike partly together, I found out that CycleSurgery gave me completely the wrong advice about chains and had to buy a a chain tool on Friday at 9pm (Thank you CyclePS). There's still stuff to finish off, but its nearly there!

I've just got a set of Eurus wheels (for an incredible price) which are in great condition aside from a little work. The rear bearings need replacing, and I've done a little research, but I'm not sure if they need ceramic, or steel? I know the newer wheels use ceramic, but I can't find any info about the particular set I have.
If they do need ceramic bearings are these any good? I know I need 60 for the front and rear, but they seem reasonable in price and are apparently the same specification as the Campy ones. Although I could be wrong on this.
And how hard is it to change the bearing, keeping in mind that I've never done it before? Should I even attempt, or should I take the wheels to somebody who knows what they're doing? Any recommendations, or anybody on here who can advise?
Lastly, I'm trying to source the dust caps for wheels. One on the front has been repaired, and the other isn't in great shape. The rear is completely missing. Any ideas where I could get some from, or is it just something that can't be sourced? I've tried the internet with no joy at all.
Photos below of the missing cap on the rear, and the front ones.

Eat lots! And include within that eating lots, good clean protein. And sleep. Aim to get a decent nights sleep every night with at least 8hrs of proper sleep.
