I've been a bit shit lately, lots going on, but we should get on it.

Lustre Coatings powder coated a frame for me a few years back and did a fab job for not a lot of money, they wet paint as well.
They're just outside Norwich in Hethel.

Anyone Dun-Running?

There's another one on the 18th June.
If you're on Facebook, look up 'Norwich Alleycat' and join the group.
Turn out varies. It's very inclusive so different ages, types of riders, etc turn up. A couple of us enjoy a bit more competition so if you're up for it, we'll give you a run for your money. 😉

I've done it single speed the last three times but I like to mix it up a bit.

I got paranoid and called up to reserve a place and was told that I couldn't do it until around mid May.
I am indeed doing it, thought I might treat myself to gears this year too!

I got on the 3:30 last year with my brothers and we all got our bikes on without reservations. Nobody said anything either. I'm not sure that they're as hot on it as they say they're going to be.

I took a power bank to keep my phone charged so I could have some music on (quietly!) to keep me going.
A bit of company would've been welcome though!

Also did the full ride, 90% of it solo!

I did have a look the other day and got that sinking feeling.
Looks like I'll have to find an alternative to our original plan if not, we won't be doing it. :/

Is it going to be faff to get bikes on trains? I hear they're imposing restrictions again.

I'm surprised by the lack of CCTV in that area. Given they have those stickers warning you of bike thieves operating in the area I would have thought it would be a no-brainer to have a camera there.
Those stickers should read:
'Beware: Bike thieves operate in this area and we have no cameras to deter the cunts.'

Aw, thanks but I haven't sorted train tickets/bike reservation stuff out, we're off to Red Hook the following weekend instead.
Next year we'll be back, though!
