Pair of basic alu 700c clinchers (36H, black rims). Off an IslaBikes Beinn 29er.

Fine condition - little use, true, hubs spin nicely. Plenty of life in the braking surface. Shimano/SRAM freehub (took an 8spd cassette). Rim tape and some QR skewers included.

Perfect for a geared town/beater bike.

I cannot get on with Swrve sizing, so these are for sale

1) Durable Cotton 3/4 skinny fit Shorts - 30in waist, grey (although it's more of a slatey blue).

Practically brand new - washed once, barely worn. They are really skinny - I can't get my thighs in them (honest). £25

2) Lightweight WWR 3/4 shorts - 32in waist, grey (although it's really a bit olivey green, certainly a very different 'grey' to the skinny fit ones)

These are not new but carefully washed and in excellent condition. One tiny torn thread on right knee. They are too big for me - there is a huge difference between the 32 and 30 waist. £15.

I almost mentioned it at the time but the day your lovely burls was posted, there was some guy almost in tears in the reception because his bike had just been nicked. I didn't overhear much of the conversation but I think it was supposedly locked up in main area of bike racks.

I'm not sure Iffley is much safer than anywhere else.

I don't doubt it. Which is why I am very careful and have the A22 set, and a 2kg sold secure gold lock.

Afraid not....I don't ride with DPCC.

Classic terrible Oxford locking too.

well, I agree.

Except my wheels (Phil Wood low flange, 32H Pacenti SL23s, Sapim Race spokes) have a set of Atomic22 track nuts.

Also on stem cap, bar clamp, seatpost clamp and seat rails.

Iffley Rd is the only place I leave the bike locked 'outside'.

I have lurked here for several years with an 'unratified' user ID so I guess I can use this as an opportunity to get full posting rights...

The Burls is mine - I swim and use the track at Iffley Rd.

It's 18 months old and every pedal stroke is a joy.
