my birthday is coming up so my girlfriend bought me this:
The seller didn't know what it was, but said it might be German. From the lugs and fork crown i think it might be a Gitane? If anybody can tell, let me know. If i can get an i.d i would like to get decals for it.

Got a bit bored with my ProLite so i stripped it down, removed the stickers and sprayed it black.

They are made to be used ;) I am a bike mechanic so i can bring it into the workshop. Wouldn't commute on it if i had to leave it out of site.

Cool, the seller says it is English threaded. From what Google tells me Gitane used different threads at times. What was yours?
