For sale: Shimano ultegra groupset circa 2005
Story: I have recently upgraded my groupset to campag (hence the packing).
How it worked: Very well except the things noted below.
Left Shifter: Perfect
Right shifter: Perfect until highest gear. It requires a shift up to shift back down. Something I just got used to.Front deraaileur: perfect
Rear deralilerur: perfect9 speed Rear cassette. Used but cheap to replace
Brakes: both perfect
Bottom bracket: perfect
Chain: last replaced about 3/4 months ago.
Triple chain ring: two outer rings on there way out but they can both be replaced for about £30
This would be perfect for a first time build or a winter bike.
All packaged and posted in the boxes of my new groupset.

These have been extremely well looked after and still have plenty of miles left in them. Perfect for a winter wheel set.
There are signs of wear as you'd expect, such as rim marks and the odd scratch, but generally they make for a tidy appearance. One spoke on the rear wheel has a slight kink in it from when I caught a fishing rod in it (Don't ask). I have had it looked over by my local bike shop and he said there was no need to replace it as there was not structural damage.
Compete with lovely ultegra chrome hubs and quick release. The rear hub accommodates 9 speed cassette. The rim tape is in great condition and manufactured by La Spirale The front wheel has been de-stickered. For more info on the manufacture of rim..check out wwww. Pro-bike gear .com
NB: I have included an image of my bike to show how the wheels look when assembled. Nice eh!
Collection from central London Or Postage. I have a big box and they will be wrapped in bubble wrap.

So ive got a lovely new gazelle with ultegra however:
The chain often skips down a chain ring on the front (tripple) when i shift down.
I think the chain rings are worn down.
..Or the cables have stretched
..or the chain is knckered
My LBS has said i need 2 new front chain rings a rear cassette and chain. Is this necessary or is there anything i can do to troubleshoot it?
I am berkshire/maidenhead based if anyone is feeling helpful. Ill buy them a pint and a packet of crisps if the can identify the problem.
