I had a similar set up to yours (old wired thermostat controller) and it was easily solved with the standard Wired Tado unit, the wireless hub that plugs to the internet router and some rechargeable batteries for the Tado valves.

I am no wizard and with the Tado manuals and a couple of questions to their support team (they are super helpful!) it was all sorted in a couple of hours.

It is worth taking pictures of the cabling in your current setup and download the manuals the wired thermostat if you can to confirm what each colour cable does. Then you can easily use the information to choose an installation route in the Tado manual and/or ask their support team.

P.S: it is worth expending extra in good rechargeable batteries

EBay, Kibble watches had a couple with date (Visodate) previously. They are not as common as Seamasters but way cheaper and according to some accounts Tissot’s quality was on a par with Omega’s at that point

This just arrived, an early Tissot Seastar T12 Automatic. Great condition for its age, keeping good time and has a reasonable power reserve but it is a bit bulkier than I expected. Not sure I can justify keeping it 😬

Sharpie will show in a blueish tone in a black seatpost. In my experience this method will still create a small difference each time you adjust the saddle but on the plus side it will also allow you to compensate for different shoes soles or other factors that can affect saddle height

After a serious injury and quite a long wait my club just came back from a full service in Glashütte. To my surprise it is running wildly fast (+75 mins a day), does anyone have any experience of demagnetising? Happy to try a DIY kit or London watchmaker before I send it back to 🇩🇪 (as we might risk it getting magnetised in transport again)

As mentioned above extra bathrooms are always useful, specially if you don’t have one downstairs, plan to have guests and/or kids. Removing a bathroom might also bring the value down, which should not be a deal breaker if you thinking long term or are planning to improve the rest of the place.

FWIW We did similarly sized storage both sides of the chimney and, even though functional, they are always a bit too small for a normal sized adult and require a shared wardrobe somewhere else for winter coats, boots, duvets, etc

@crow what’s your experience with the child seat? Would you recommend it? Keen to take be able to take the 2.5 year old mini for a spin from time to time

Would you use your personal details when contacting Lambeth council or just sign something like: ‘the legal owners and sole occupants of (add address)’ ? I honestly have no desire to give my contact details or any more ammo to any of these people

Just to clarify, this wasn’t posted this was hand delivered by some scrote this Saturday afternoon while I was playing with my 2yr old which is quite menacing
