I might be missing something, or be captain hindsight, but it seems that something hexagonal, square or any other geometric shape that isn’t a circle, is not going to rotate when seated in a similarly shaped hole, unless it is a circle. It seems the right screwdriver would only help you round the screws, and the hole they are seated in, faster.
Or is there some weird magic going on?

Would make a lot of sense but more than an ‘homenage’ that would be a full copyright infringement and difficult to justify. It might well be that they are currently ‘allowed’ to produce aftermarket modifications because it doesn’t affect the sales of the company and they actually add to the brand’s visibility and reputation. A full frame could be a step too far

Great colour combo! @sbbohr is that an H&H seat post? are those SC seat clamps reliable? can either the SC or DC saddle clamp be flipped -seatpost turned 180 degrees- to shorten reach? Apologies for the huge amount of questions

Recent quotes from local plumbers all were £100/110 labour per hour. £108 for changing 3 radiator valves with minimal changes to pipes and that was because we were already getting the boiler serviced £96 and drained with an inhibitor added £48 (all without VAT). As others mentioned, draining and checking the system is time-consuming. Your quote seems reasonable specially if they need to makes changes to fixing and pipes

Thank you all for the suggestions 🥹 I know the phrasing is very golf club 😅
@Detritus didn’t know the SAR rescue timer, it seems to share quite a lot with the Braun A10 designed by Dieter Rams @ReekBlefs great work! So nice to have pictures of the process

@ejay2.0 fantastic dial! @c.h.e I quite like them but unfortunately can’t get on with the size or the full lume hands

With the Nomos Club temporarily out, Max Bill 34mm is back. I also have a silly little Braun. Not sure how I ended up with a “exclusively German collection” but … are there any reasonably priced 36 or 34mm tool, or dive, German watches I should looking at? Ideally looking for something with a bracelet and a mechanical movement.

Thanks Ed! I am too*, otherwise I would keep it
*I managed to drop my Nomos in the bathroom... it slipped out of my hand, did a front flip and landed face first! Kaputt! Probably quite serious as the stem doesn't even wind it up... so off to Germany it goes for a long overdue service that will probably take forever, cost a fair bit and command a nice chunk of tax in the way back! Quite tempted to get a Casio atm

@inchpincher the bezel rotates and alignment seems good. This is the side of the case. Let me know, as I might have to return it soon otherwise
-
It has applied logo and ‘embossed’ markers, as @Regal mentioned. To my untrained eye they all look applied!
All the markers, hands and logo are in very good condition (polished, not dull or with surface rust). The lume in the hands matches the dial too. Serial is 040122

Anyone interested in a 1970s Seiko 2205-0769 /0760 Diver aka “Mini Apocalypse”. I found a recently (and carefully *) serviced one in Notts for a reasonable price but, much to my disappointment, my other half doesn’t get how awesome this mini diver is. Anyone interested before I return it? It would be nice if someone in the forum gets to enjoy it, £375 posted. Currently in East London.
- disassembled, cleaned and regulated. All gaskets replaced and pressure tested to 150m
*works well and lume is still going

@M_V any non-trailer solutions to transport 1kid in 1Brompton that are compact and allow folding would be truly appreciated
Got a Berlingo model 2019 in Petrol with reasonable mileage not long ago. Please @amey don’t get a Diesel, there is no need! P.S: we might be persuaded to sell as we barely use it and we rather improve the garden with the money 😊🤓
