We need to replace kitchen tap and are thinking of getting a new mixer sink tap with a small water filter under the sink. Any recommendations?
For reference:
-it needs to be a single-lever handle sink tap (can't fit a secondary tap for the filter)
-we want slightly better drinking water and a reliable system.
-we have limited space and budget, do not need boiling water or fizz
-currently considering Grohe blue system, but open to suggestions -
A metal or clay edge would help keep the lawn from expanding, it doesn't have to be too deep 4-6 inches. Metal would be easier, quicker and cheaper https://www.everedge.co.uk

Don’t know either of you, so I hope to be objective.
Your original comment invited some mild criticism which didn’t include any abuse. You escalated the situation unnecessarily and resorted to accusing someone of unmoral and, more seriously, illegal behaviour. You also used seriously abusive language in the process.
When challenged you doubled down, again beautiful language.
Your behaviour wasn’t equal or comparable in any way, therefore you are in no position to demand anyone else is banned. Just try to understand that it wasn’t ok, at all.

Good summary! +1
@Velocio Crispin’s reply was completely unacceptable behaviour and truly unpleasant to read. The redacted version is just doubling down, which frankly makes it even worse.
The original point about punk was perfectly ok, we all had criticism for pedantic or pompous writing before and need to be able to deal with it in a non-aggressive way.

At risk of asking something that might get me expelled… what are Frederique Constant’s watches like? I got offered something that could be a good daily really cheap and, whilst it isn’t particularly exciting, it ticks a lot of boxes.
Shall I steer clear or is it a reliable brand with quite bland derivative designs?

Great watches! Go for it! Even better if you can get one with a Sapphire case-back. I didn’t and it is the only regret I have had with my Club 701.
P.S:Get a size down, these wear bigger than the size would indicate. A 33mm would wear nicely in a 6.5 inch wrist, a 35 in a 7 inch wrist, etc..
P.S 2: check out the 35mm Orion with blued hands. Truly amazing! Here is a reasonably priced one -
@chrismanc you explained it better

I found these guys under areas of loose plaster. Do you have any suggestions before I fill them with some all-purpose filler? Is it normal that a plaster screw will prevent the plaster from settling over it and creating “blisters”?
For reference, this is in a loft under a flat roof, probably a massive bodge by someone sometime in the recent past 🤷🏻
I just want to avoid the same problem happening again and again and again … Thanks!

@anidel congratulations! Let me know if you need to get rid of anything 36mm or smaller 😉
A bailiff put this through the door earlier today. After ignoring a few letters and returning a few other letters. It seems that we will have an issue with the council tax debt accumulated by some guy completely unknown to us in a council in the other corner of London.
We can prove we have lived and owned the property for two years, the previous owner was an elderly lady who went to a care home. So it is either a scam, an error in the address or someone took advantage of the period the property was empty to register the debt to this address.
Can we get rid of these people without a spending £££ on a lawyer? In all honesty I am quite sceptical about writing to them with any our personal details in case they do something dodgy like transferring the debt to us.
Has someone had a similar situation? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
