Keen, my alfine 8s just got stolen this morning!

Bit of an odd one,

Someone attempted to steal my Planet X, failed, but in the process managed to break the carbon top tube (see photos) by yanking it against the lock.

Unfortunately I don't have the money to fix it right now (Carbon Fibre Solutions quoted me at around £300), and as I'm moving about between cities anyway I figured it was easier to sell for parts.

I'd much rather just sell the whole thing, especially as someone may be keen to get it repaired, or switch out the frame, and on the road again! I've moved the tires onto a different bike so would come as is.

Regarding price, I'm honestly pretty happy to go by what people think, looking to stop it clogging up my pals flat (where it currently sits) and help someone out with cheap parts. I don't know how much it's worth in this state, figured folk on here probably would.

Hey anyone with a nice pub bike they want to get rid of!

I'm just moved to Edinburgh and spent all my time finding a nice road bike to replace my stolen PX (I did find a lovely Colnago C40 in the end). Stupidly I didn't make it down to one of the studenty bike shops and nab a cheap one early on. And so now I'm looking for anything really cheap from anyone in Edniburgh (or even cheaper from somewhere far, to counteract posting cost).

Not only are the relatively nice or even cheap bikes gone from the shops, but I also trust people on this forum to generally turn out with something loved and well thought through. I've got up to £100ish to spend, am 6'2" and happy to fit on anything from a 56cm upwards. Geared, fixed, whatever I don't mind hearing about it!

Hey, I've been looking around for good carbon road bikes on ebay and gumtree for a while now. My last racing road bike was an aluminium Giant, which I sold and bought a carbon planet x time trial that I converted into a road bike (which got nicked). But I loved to carbon-ness of the bike and so have been looking for something since. I've got up to £800 to spend and am looking for something 55-59 cm. If anyone has anything that suits (maybe even an alu-carbon) then I'd love to hear about it.

This can't be for real. "mat black bike for sale" (nice spelling there) in crouch end on craigslist. Anyone here a crouchender to check it out? I texted the guy for the frame number but not much hope I get a reply on that. No info on the bike, and selling for £80 (which you wouldn't even know if it was genuinely worth that because of the shitey secretive photos).

Not sure about the Abu's but the On Guard was An old Bulldog by the looks of things. And from what I've seen on other threads, things tend to get shifted in Brick Lane market day after..? Anyone know if its worth going down a week later on Sunday/Saturday? Or if anyone's got experience getting their bike back there

D's, its a knack I've had to develop thanks to the rims. Off to brick lane on Saturday, worth a try. Or are Sundays better?
