Sorry to hear this. Reminds me why I left London, now when I go back it shames me. Friends cant see it though, de-sensitised to the mess that it is.
I can leave my bike outside my front door by mistake and someone will knock and tell me here in North Devon. There are disadvantages though, not many different names in the phone book ;)

I knew Ken. Used to be in the Twickenham CC 1975/6/7 where he was a great guy. One of his party tricks was to ride round outside his shop backwards sitting on the handlebars! Bob Arnold was mechanic at shop then, he went on to do quite well. Customers included Tony Doyle and Alf Whiteway.
He also pioneered importing continental clothing and tubs at a time when plus fours were seen out on Sundays!
