Got some chrome ones, ebay ones,actually ridden 10 miles till I discovered back end of frame was bust
Enough steerer for 61cm plus.
The mudguard eyes have been ground off, the race mounting had to be attacked with an angle grinder as the chrome made it too big. Fits now!
They look very pretty, nice crown.

Granted not lately, I was watching a couple last year that I would have paid 300 for that went for late 400's.
Seems the explanation above about the quality/lugs of the one above may be the explanation, or rather my lack of knowledge...
As a side note: Why are the new 653 BJ's relatively cheap compared with other hand made steel frames? Seem like very good prices when we read of steel frames made in the far east to save money (often dearer than the BJ) ?

I know the one listed above is a bit special but considering a new curly Vulcan (remember BJ built some Hetchins) is only £850.....

23" or 24" frame, don't need forks as long as it takes 1" threaded.
130 oln nice but 124 will do, decent paint, not rusty. Clearance for 25mm tyres. Any steel or alloy that's cheap. Post to Devon.
