I got the green pair from the sale and really like them, don't think I'd pay full price though. They're sort of hiking trouser material that the water beads on, if that makes sense? So not cotton like those swerves might be.
They're quite long - over my near in the medium and I'm 183cm. The pockets are really good.

Forgot to come back and say thanks your suggestions! We ended up doing this first one and it was one of the best sections we did.
A few things we learnt that I hadn't seen confirmed online before were...
-You need euro coins for small local ferries across rivers, and it pays to check when the last sailing is! But they are a really good way to break up rides. I think we used at least one a day for a week
-Maybe because it was summer and busy, but we found it best to get up each morning and book the next evenings campsite (normally sent them an email). Some of the best ones I'd really recommend are this small family run one near Bokhoven and this one inside the actual Veluwe park.Would really recommend for a gentle tour! I think next year we will do similar but cross into Germany.

Thanks that so useful. We looked at the natuurcampings but the translation read like you needed the physical card before you showed up. Glad that isn’t the case. We’ve seen a lot of ‘minicamping’ places which I guess is just people with space in their yards?
We’re going roughly Hook of Holland > Biesbosch > Den Bosch > maybe Apeldoorn and Zwolle > then staying at friends in Utrecht for a couple of nights before back to Hook.
Taking advice of following the rivers and going to some national parks - but would take any recommendations. Only aiming for 80 - 100km a day and lots of stopping.

Yeah - I did ref that - I meant more as general observation like yours on the sizing tool.
Also side note on Strael 2.0s, the clearance is suppose to be 32 with a lot of mud space but I think it could take at least 35 slicks with decent amount of room. I couldn’t find a good answer online so went 32.

I got a second hand strael 56t - from their size guide I should have been 58r which seemed huge, if I put myself down by a cm height wise I got 56t so assumed it would be fine. But also found the sizing tool surprising - I’m just about 183cm.
Conversely to you, I really love the bike. I sold my ‘nice’ rim brake roadie and am keeping just this. Has 32s and panniers atm for a week in Netherlands soon (terrible photo).

Thanks for the advice people gave in this thread.
In the end I went for a Chameleon - as it was in stock, I could port everything over from my old bike and it was yellow. First ride last night after finishing putting it together and it’s awesome.
Will need some winter tyres and some mtb ability at some point soon.

Standert provisionally sold sorry!
@TotalShanner I’m on the taller side for 56 and this was dead on for me with a 110 stem and a lot of post - so I think you’d need the size up anyway
