That makes a lot of sense - I had to move the hoods significantly to get them comfortable like so^

I also tend to have the habit of a fully in the drops position and a in the drops but on the brakes position which confuses matters (I assume that’s normal). I’m going to tape up like this and see.

This video convinced me that maybe this isn’t all an elaborate troll.

I do think it’s the stem transition thing that you see a lot of bikes set up to is what I’d expect to be the ‘way’.

We’ve now moved to somewhere with proper trails 5 mins from the front door and I think it’s time for a proper mountain bike. I’ve a 29 wheel set and slx group to transfer over - I’ve been riding local trails on my big-bro and think a dropper post and front suspension is as far as I’d want to go.

So far I’m leaning towards a @Dammit inspired RC529 in the new green - is there other things I should be looking at in that price range? I like the look chameleon too, but have a silly attachment to steel.

Has anyone got any experience/suggestions of a northern france gentle week’s tour? Due to no bikes on Eurostar we’re thinking a ferry from the south coast and then a <500km round trip.

Maybe the petit tour de manche? Or even to Nantes and then train back to the coast? Open to any suggestions

I’ve used Blackburn outpost on mine with 4l bags and it worked well. To be honest you could probs go up to 10l at a push. Here’s an unhelpful pic of a downtube one (can’t find a fork one).
