Up for sale is my Alpini Finch mini velo. Only available in Newhaven/Hove on September 9. Price: 125 GBP.
On September 9 I will be in Newhaven/Hove to pick up a bike I bought there. I am coming from Dieppe (France) and am planning to take my Alpini Finch mini velo along for the trip so I can travel to and from the ferry more easily. I would prefer to take only one bike back, so the Alpini is up for sale.
The bike is super fun to ride and handless surprisingly well. Overal quality of the frame (paint and welds) is really nice. The bike is in good shape and has seen only little use. There are some scuff marks on the paint where a a lock hung. Some washers and a couple of bolts are a bit rusty, but now I am really nitpicking. The rear wheel has a flip flop hub for fixed or single speed use. Retail price was about 400 GBP.

The Muenzi has received a ton of updates since my last post. As such I have decided it really deserves it own thread.
I had a frame bag and panniers made by @Tijmen. The panniers will be fitted to an Old Man Mountain rack that I still need to fit.
The Jones bars are no more. They were great, but I just couldn't turn down a chance to buy a Groovy Cycles Love Handlebar locally.
I bought an extra pair of wheels for the bike, so I can easily change tires. They are 26" White Industries hubs laced to Surly Marge Lite rims. I also found a Paul fat bike rear hub which I plan to combine with a Son dynamo hub. Rims will probably be 29+ something.
Pedals are now Mavic Crossmax Ti.

I didn't make an offer on the Merckx in the end. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't figure out if I would be able to fit it.
The mini velo is still in my bike shed. Haven't used it a lot though. I did convince me to buy a Bike Friday tandem. Haven't used that a lot either. I may have to many bike to ride and build right now...

For another project I bought these Middleburn RS1 cranks. They have a 130mm road spider fitted. Seeing as these are early 1990's cranks, I am guessing they were meant to be used with a double chainring setup. What I don't understand is why there isn't a raised edge for the big ring, like there is for the small one on the back. Or should the spider go on the other way around (this would suggest not)? Or could this be for a single chainring only?
Amazing bike. I've seen one in red/white in real life and it looked great. Came across one a while back in white with gold chrome instead of silver.
