The price includes painting, but i've asked these forks with lacquer only so it matches the raw finish of pompino. So can't comment on the paint quality, but the lacquer seems to be holding up well so far, no rust as of yet :D

Yeh, dual. Don't have similar-size drybags so can't compare to anything, but to me the ends seem round enough when filled. Took this model so i could make it fit between drop bars while having the strap attachment thingies centered.

My fork doesn't have a brake hole, but neat idea. I would consider rack if i were carrying this stuff more often, but it's mainly a road bike and i do one-nighters once in a while when i'm not too busy with dad stuff

Bought a 20L alpkit bag and tested if everything fits:

Had to put 3rd strap in the middle to prevent tire rub (limited space between tire and bars because tiny frame), but other than that it takes all the essentials \o/ (bivi, sleeping bag, pad, cooking stuff) with room to spare

There are a few framebuilders in the bay area, but none of them would be very economical option, so if they still want to sell a lot of frames, it probably has to be something chinese

There ain't that much more room sideways if you go bigger, that long stick seems a bit excessive.
Looking at the instagram photos, doesn't look like theres much more room in the chainstay/seat tube area either.

e. And i know i'm being picky, the stick is just an eyesore in otherwise perfect-looking bike.

why not just make the seatstay a bit closer to the tire so the mudguard wouldn't need a dildo for installing

Tektro RX5, same length than trp but fraction of the cost. Looks pretty basic but they're cheap and work like a charm. Have a set in my own pompino.

e: i've also had trp 8.4's, and wouldn't say they performed any better, only better looking.

Pomp takes 700x42's, but because of the chainstay design i reckon you won't get much more clearance with smaller wheel, so probably 1.75" would be the max.
