arse got saturated again tonight! what about this... inflatable mudguards you only have on when its wet! maybe an old mtb inner tube manipulated to protect legs chain and arse using some inner forming like a coathanger
or maybe part of an old mudguard? you just pop it in pump up and off! but it might come out like a mishapen sausage might try it tomorrowLike this? I'd rather just get sks xtra dry or sth similar

Since i've had my Pompetamine it's been like havin four different bikes. I just change a few bits about depending on what I want to use It for. It's frickin awesome. Everyone should own a pomp!
Couldn't agree more. Also same goes for the cross-check:
currently sscx, gonna be tourer again next summer.

Not the expert on the topic, but lived there for couple years so maybe i can give some info. Overall, Finland is somewhat pricey country and sleeping in Hki might be expensive, depending of what you want. Cheapest of course being couch surfing / hostels, but if you want good quality single rooms in the middle of the city, i've liked http://www.omenahotels.com/. As far as nightlife goes, theres usually something for everyone. Many bike shops have rental bikes, but i think this is the most popular one: http://www.greenbike.fi/vuokraus_en.html
As for prices, your basic pizza/kebab/cheap chinese being about 5-10 euros, restaurants can be anywhere from 15-100e, again depends what you like. Cheap beer from 3-6 euros, better / foreign ones more.
If you want to have real "finnish" experience, i'd recommend to take the tram to sörnäinen, you'll find the cheapest pubs and most drunk people there ;)
