The good news is that the guys over at elephant were not only apologetic but have suggested I get it blasted and painted asap and they would foot the bill. No argument, no quibble. Annoying at first but customer service is really fantastic and despite the paint I love this bike.

That's bindweed - roundup is one option, boiling water over the whole area (every time it reshoots) is another option and last one would be to strim it down to soil level everytime it resprouts. There is no quick fix but it's not a large area so should be ok.

If it's under a bush you want to keep then repeated cut back is the best option, keep an eye out for new shoots and nail them asap... soon the (extensive) root system will use up all its energy trying to resprout and it'll die. It'll probs take most of the summer but once the initial cut back is done it wont be that hard to maintain.

Emery board (g/f or wife's nail file, not the metal kind). Works a treat and is not messy... like toothpaste.

Clover - have a google at the diff types you can use but it is pretty fantastic ground cover, it's drought resistant and happy in the shade. It doesn't need mowing and will spread at a decent speed. It flowers and it is soft underfoot. There is a long established hangup with clover and lawn grass mixing - something I've never really understood - but if you get the micro-clover varieties it is barely distinguishable from grass.

Well that's an irrelevant conclusion, come on now ed! I'm arguing that they aren't fascist and that Israel is not a county that practices apartheid. An unpopular opinion I can see (and I can understand) but one I would (and do) argue is true despite reprehensible actions by the Israeli government. Well actually despite reprehensible actions from both sides.

But anyway, enough. I can't solve a crossword let alone the shit storm over there. Let's hope something gets sorted out fast.

My point is that comments like this are not only divisive but they purposefully aim to simplify huge issues into boxes that those unfamiliar with the issues will relate to. 'Apartheid/facism' etc are words that promote powerful feelings, by highlighting the fact that Israel is neither fascist not an apartheid I am merely exposing hyperbole that is unwarranted and false.

Congratulations on your Google/copy/paste skills.
Now go away and learn about the conflict and you will find out pretty quickly that throw away terms like 'apartheid' have no place in any discussion on Israel/Palestine.
