RANDOM FACTOR
- Schwalbe One - 23c - New in box - £12
- Prologo Scratch 2 Nack 134 - Great carbon saddle in tip top nick, but doesn't suit my arse - £60
- Fizik Kurve Bull – Not compatible with my arse. Superb condition, standard (aluminium?) rails, not carbon - £60
- Schwalbe Pro One - 28c - This has been patched a couple of times from the inside due to punctures which wouldn't seal with tubeless goo. Tread has plenty of life left. - £10
- 2 x Schwalbe Durano Plus - 25c - Used for a few commutes/club rides, didn't get on with them, so have loads of life left - £11.50 each - £20 for the pair
- 2 x Maxxis Padrone TR 25c - Tubeless tyres, barely used – £22 each, £40 for the pair
- 2x Deda Zero 100 stems - both 140mm - one black, one silver, great condition - £20 each
WHEELSETS - all are standard road spacing, Shimano freehub and QR unless stated
PAIR Mavic Open Pro (black)/36h/Sapim Race (silver)/Miche Racing Box (silver)/ - Built by Harry Rowland - £95
Rear recently retrued by Harry – and has very little mileage on it. Bit of notching on the freehub which has been filed down, but both wheels are in great condition, very little braking wear on the rear and the front is looking very healthy too. Pics below.PAIR Archetype/32h/DT Alpine III/Miche Racing Box/ spokes - Built by Arup -
£50
Front: 1220g w/ 25c Schwalbe One/tube
Rear: 1352g w/ 25c Schwalbe One/tube
Shimano freehub. Bit of wear on both braking tracks but plenty of life left (see photos). While cleaning them I noticed that the rear rim seems to have paint lifting around some of the spoke holes - looks like it could be the beginning of cracks, so have priced accordingly.PAIR Miche Primato (black)/DT R460 (black)/32h/Sapim Race (black) - Built by Mike Conway/23MM Wheels - £100
Front: 1134g (w/ 25c Maxxis Padrone TR)
Rear: 1713g (w/ 25c Maxxis Padrone TR & 12-30 HG50 10spd cassette)
Barely used. Tubeless tape already installed, but only one tubeless valve supplied.FRONT Rigida DP18/Ultegra 6700/32h/Sapim Leader (I think) - Built by Harry Rowland - *£15
Front: 1354g w/ 25c Pro 4 Endurance
Fair bit of wear on brake track (see photos), but bearings smooth and the wheel is bombproof. Perfect for beater/fixie use. Michelin Pro 4 Endurance doesn't look too knackered either, so I'll leave that on.REAR Archetype/Ultegra 6700/32h/DT Alpine III - Built by Arup - PROVISIONALLY SOLD
Rim is TOAST. Cracked. Hub was tad rumbly from what I remember, even after a bearing change, but it kept on trucking until the brake track went pop. Spokes are fine though, so I suspect a new rim and a little time could turn this into a respectable beater rear wheel.

Every commute without fail I'll watch cyclists undertake left-turning vehicles (or me), completely oblivious to the inherent danger of doing so, not to mention the very real prospect of their getting flattened (not by me obvs, I'm not THAT big).
Most don't even look to see if a vehicle is indicating. It's as if they think they have right of way in the gutter.

Hi LFGSSers
Having a little clear out of the following bits and bobs.
Vupine Navy Rain Shorts in XXL - SOLD
Vulpine Charcoal Rain Trousers in XXL waist, Regular length (32in) – £35
Be warned: these are not designed with big arse/thighs in mind. Waist/length is fine, but they just don't fit right for my Hoythighs. Waist is same as shorts i.e. perfect for 36-38in.Rapha Condor Jersey - XXL, unworn - £45
Rapha Hooded Rain Jacket in Red/Orange - XXL - £80
Worn this a bit, but never on the bike. It's too nice. Got a few small black marks here and there from Tube grime (on hood, front panel, little on rear), but I suspect they'll wipe off if I tried. Note: Not the most generously sized XXL ever.Vulpine Alpine Long Sleeve Jersey - Grey - XL - £30
Worn once on the bike so in great condition. Washed with Woolite once, too. No damage that I can see.Vulpine Alpine Long Sleeve Jersey - Yellow - XL - £30
Worn once but not on the bike so is pretty much pristine.Vulpine Alpine Short sleeve Jersey - Green - XXL - £20
Worn a couple of times, but only for short rides. Is nice. Is not damaged. I like.Vulpine Softshell Gilet - Grey - XL - £30
Worn a couple of times on the bike, but there's only a tiny bit of road grime on the front.Vulpine Original Rain Jacket - Blue - XL - £60
Worn once casually, but I really don't need it. Pretty much as-new condition.Offers welcome. Postage at cost if necessary, but collection from W1 or SE18 Plumstead would be much preferred. No dibs.

I've had these sitting in a wardrobe for far too long, so it's time for them to go to a new home.
Rapha Rain Jacket in, umm, merlot? It's XXL. It's been worn twice to the pub, never on the bike. Pristine, and only crumpled because it's been living in the BNWT Rapha Cycle Club musette which is pictured. (Musette included unless someone desperately wants it on its own)
£85
Vulpine Rain Jacket in dark blue. It's a Large. Worn once in torrential downpour for a quick test ride around the block, but is just too snug for my manboobs sadly. There are a couple of barely noticeable water sploshes which will wash out. Bloody lovely jacket (and I much prefer it to my Vulpine Harrington).
£75 - SOLD SOLD SOLD
Castelli Free Aero jersey, XL. Even closer fit than the usual Castelli stuff, so no good with my bingo wings. Kept it in cupboard hoping I might one day lose a million stone, but it's not to be. Has never been outside, only tried on a couple of times.
£18 - SOLD SOLD SOLD
All prices are for collection from SE18/W1. Postage at cost. UK only.

Calling out the bloke who swung between cars and into the cycle lane without looking causing me to slam on the anchors (no, I wasn't going too fast). When someone calls you out on it, politely, and asks you to look for oncoming cycles in future, the correct response is not, "Don't be talking to me. I don't know who you are. Don't talk to me - I don't know you."
Trying to look like the everyone-go-f*ck-yourselves badman on a battered old folding shopper bike is so not the one.

Ha! Never mind left-turning HGVs - undertaking left-turning anything is a bad idea. And now that the sun's out I'm seeing happy-go-fucky cyclists do it all the time. Worse, they often think they have 'right of way' doing so, and start berating the drivers.
I politely mentioned this to one lady this morning, and she told me firmly that I was wrong and that cyclists have right of way while undertaking. "THAT'S why cycle lanes are on the left."

The Voodoo riding belmmachine who insisted on riding like an utter gimble all the way from London Bridge to Holborn. Undertaking at speed, pedalling manically in a stupid gear and swerving violently in front of other riders with inches to spare. Also completely unresponsive to verbals due to headphones at full volume.
Getting a bit sick of this wannabe racer shit tbh - in response to an earlier post, yes, he was going full Kruger.

I had an opportunity to 'educate' a Bromptonodder on the etiquette of cycling off from lights directly, and purposefully, into a pedestrian (me) but words failed.
He started off at speed a few feet from where I was crossing, bounced off my 18-stone bulk, stumbled, almost fell off his bike onto a van, then shouted 'BUT THE LIGHTS ARE GREEN!'
If that's the calibre of cyclist we're dealing with, I suggest letting Darwinian selection take its course.

It's great around pub closing time once all the traffic has gone though. #definitelydontcyclehomeafterfivepints

I'd rather not post for now but i'll reconsider if they don't disappear in the next week or so. :)
@mattyc I've had several sets of Archetypes which are lovely and stiff (even if the brake track wears far faster than I'd like), but I was tempted by this Superstar SL23 build as the rims were regarded as being fairly similar to the Archetypes. FWIW My existing wheelsets were on Miche RG2 and I was getting a bit tired of destroying the freehubs/pawls and DT 350 were recommended highly as being tougher for big heavy 17 stone lumps like me.
