I got a DM.
You're third if OP doesn't want it.
@SanRensho it's 90mm so probably too short? -

Yeah, that's where I've landed in the past when doing any type of refinishing that involves losing that textured bit.
I've worked on bikes that have come raw from the dealers and have the grippy adhesive stuff as a sticker to apply after paint, and an accompanying roll for handlebars but I just can't find it anywhere. It's quite frustrating!
It's for a customer who is having a post-crash refin done privately but they're quite particular so I'm looking to get it "like new" if I can! Less for functionality and more for aesthetics than anything else to be honest... just looking to avoid a customer service conflict shall we say?
Thanks for the reply though.

Hello all. Cryptic one... sorry.
You know those carbon aero shaped seatposts that have a flat edge which has a grippy bit on in order to avoid slipping?
I'm confident I've seen that grippy stuff on a roll, like tape so it can be re-applied if it wears off...
It's also sometimes around the clamp area on carbon handlebars. I'm sure you know what I mean.
Does anyone know what that's called and where I might be able to get some?
Please and thanks.

Ask your painter if they can paint the graphics in place rather than use a sticker/transfer/decal of any kind. It'll be better.
If you use any type of sticker/vinyl/foil, it will act as a barrier between the base coat and clear coat products so the bond will be poor in that area. Whilst you'll feel like you're protecting the stickers, you'll just be putting a weak spot in the finish.
The painter should know their stuff. They'll choose the right products for what you need.

I’ve had a small change to my working situation which has meant I need to get rid of one, maybe two bikes. Priced for quick sale here. If I don’t see traction, I’m gonna pop it up on eBay for a bigger number.
Built up to have the appearance of a rat bike but is actually kitted out quite smartly imho. Everything works well. It's been hanging up doing nothing for ages 'cause my Brompton is more practical.
MASH SF WORKS FRAME v1 - LARGE
Custom finished with RUSTIQUE.
It’s a product that looks like rust, but it’s not rust… makes it unattractive to thieves. Had this one and another locked up outside my house a couple of years back. Locks were cut in order to move this one out of the way so they could steal the nicer looking 8bar bike that was behind it. I’m the original owner of this one. Had it set up in a couple of different forms, they really are quite versatile things.RIDLEY xBOW CX FORK (carbon /w alloy steerer)
I don’t have the original fork. I popped this one on for a little weight saving. This is also custom painted and I’m the original owner. You can see the scheme a little better here.CHRIS KING HEADSET

I don’t remember which BB is in there.I’m asking £650 for the full build which I think is a nice price for this much 'stuff' but correct me if I’m wrong. I’m based in SE4 for collection.
I need the whole bike gone swiftly ‘cause I don’t have space and splitting won’t help me so I’ve no plan to do that.

Good practice is to clearcoat the frame with a direct adhesion clear in place of a primer.
This will maintain the finish of the raw metal and protect it etcThen, you can fade front-to-back... you'll get a better fade with a candy or something with translucency rather than a solid or metallic.
Then you clear over the whole lot.
I'll bore you more if you've more questions.
There's a decent example of it here...

If you're buying one-off in store, ask the person next to you at the checkout; I've been caught out a few times and people are happy to oblige.
My partner works for a Mental Health and Arts charity in SE London and they stack Nectar points so that when winter holidays come round, they can cater a nice buffet and put some prizes on a raffle table.
Happy to offer these details if you're inclined.
