I've only just about got comfortable on the new bike, it was very weird for a few days. My last bike was slightly too big for me and on a lower gear ratio so I've been a bit wobbly on the new bike, especially with track stands.

Glad no one spotted me almost killing myself as my chain slipped off this morning.

The nose of my saddle occasionally snags the back of my bibs when I set off from lights. Trying to accelerate, clip in, unsnag my arse and stay upright is easier said than done - I've nearly come a cropper a couple of times that way...

Ive had this same issue but with the hole ive ripped in the arse of my jeans.

Yeah I'm lucky that the chain popped off the chain ring with enough force to take it off the rear cog too. I just took my feet off the pedals and cruised to a safe spot to stop.

I just had a definite “oh shit” moment cycling down Oxford Road in Manchester.

I was getting some speed up and suddenly my chain slipped off the chain ring and my legs were spinning like mad. I couldn’t do much but cruise down the road until I slowed down a bit. I don’t get why it slipped off though, my chain tension seems fine.

If that’s not a sign that I should be running a front brake I don’t know what is.

Yeahh but I know I wont be arsed swapping my wheel over every night when I get in from work. I might just fix up my old bike and use that instead.

Normal tyres are OK on big rollers, but will get wrecked quickly on the smaller driver roller of a turbo or on titchy Kreitler 2.5s.

Oh really? I was looking in to getting a turbo and was planning on just using my every day bike with it. Shame.

Cannondale Flash locked up with a shitty lock, and the guy has already had one of these stolen from this same spot. Idiot.

I saw two guys steal a really nice looking racing bike in Manchester the other day. I was cycling towards the bike locks as they used bolt cutters to cut off the crappy lock and then boomed off on it before I had chance to cross the road.

They were super quick at doing it, I doubt half the people in the street even noticed they were there before they were gone.

No I was gonna put cinelli decals over the the top of the new colour but to be honest the blue/white is actually quite nice. I wasn't sure I would like it.
