^ I don't blame you. I'm still not too happy about my GF deciding that turkey is a nice place to visit for a mini-break with her friend in Oct given what's happening in syria and iraq at the moment and that's much less warranted than your concerns imo.
Is Turkey significantly unstable considering their general "friends of the west" attitude and relative moderatism?
Honest question, it's seen as normal tourist destination but obviously has a lot geopolitically going on. I didn't realise there was meant to be any trouble there.

How many Horsemen of the Apocalypse were there again?
There's an Ebola virus outbreak going down in West Africa thats killed as many so far in 2014 as you'd normally expect to die in 10 years.
This is getting worse before it's getting better, Dr Brisbane has now died of the infection and rates are increasing.
I wish disease got research and treatment funding due to mortality/morbidity not how much it affects rich old white people.

Re your email, medical schools and Trust hierarchies have awful records for maintaining confidentiality. I'd be careful before revealing your name to anyone that might whisper round to people with responsibility for your academic or clinical progression.
One option might be, if you can find out who it is (hospital parking will have a record you could maybe ahem completely legitimately sneak a look at), to go and see them in clinic and just explain who you are and why you're talking to them. Chances are faced with a real person and a "colleague" they'll feel ashamed more than angry.

EO55ETA Mercedes E280 CDI AVANT
Probably a consultant at Royal Derby Hospital.
Deliberately used his car as a weapon against me today. Not sure what I should do.If this is a serious accusation/assault and you've any evidence, you have grounds for a complaint to the GMC and more chance of success than with a criminal prosecution.
Even without end result, the annoyance such an investigation causes to a registered practitioner may make you feel better. In my opinion aggressive public behaviour is both improper per se and also brings the profession into disrepute both of which are due cause for disciplinary action.

For motorbikes I think the position has settled that it's seen as contributory so any payout might be halved (i.e. if you're hit filtering past the outside of stationary traffic the car that pulls out etc is not fully to blame and you should be ready to stop at any time). But that doesn't say that blame can't be apportioned differently when one party is doing a dangerous and unlawful act as here... and in any case, having lower damages isn't the same as no case to answer.
Tldr; shit lawyer

If you read it, you will see that PCSOs have the power (rather the designated power) to issue FPNs to cyclists for cyling on footpaths.
This is useful because I'm sure you see PCSOs enforcing red lights and so forth...
You can fuck with a PCSO by demanding to see their designated authority card, without which they have none...
Is this only for the extra designated powers or for any power above that of a citizen?

So what's the deal with PCSOs?
Broadly I thought they only had normal powers of a citizen e.g. to arrest and call in real coppers etc - but someone wrote they are able to fine cyclists but not motor vehicles (? fining without being an officah of the law whut now)
Can you just routinely ignore them and what they say? What are the extent of their powers. Can they stop and search ever. Are you obliged to provide a name and address as to a real officer..

And re: my helping the police in the past. I actually still have one potential case going to court soon. The fool pled not guilty despite overwhelming evidence. I can't divulge details, and don't know that I'll be called on. But what a muppet.
Once the case is in open court, or concluded if that's safer to avoid contempt, can you post up details of that and any other cases involving successful detection/prosecution of thieves?
It would potentially be a good cautionary tale for anyone skulking about considering theft, and nice for the community to know that sometimes they get their just desserts.

Sounds like I missed out on some fun and new bike joy. Gutted.
I was being a nobber at that Brockley beer dispensary thing that Skully raved about. My old schoolmates wanted to give it a try. It is quite nice but I'll be back next week in time to buy you a drink :)They also let us put our bikes in the back cos I didn't bring enough locks for that crime ridden cesspit of brockley, so they get two wheel friendly points. Burgers were nom also.
Some of the beer gave me a slight homebrew effect. That's fine, you get drunk for cheaps when you're drinking methanol.

What's the deal with sizing? The available size is 130mm but the one review says the guy used 155, so presumably this is a "small" saddle?
How do you even size a saddle. I like big butts, etc etc
