About one and half a year ago I bought a large Steamroller frame and built up my first fixed gear bicycle. Ever since I tried to make it more trackish and ended up with this setup:
Nevertheless, the Steamroller isn`t meant to be a true trackbike and every now and then I realized it when riding fast around the city. I got pedal strike more than once and wanted something more nimble. Now, after I got a really nice Goldsprint track frame, I want the 'roller to be set up as a perfect all around bike for commuting and light cyclocross.
At the moment, I am thinking about good 35c tyres and a fitting fixed/free wheelset in either black or silver polished. Both should fit to my idea of a balanced relation of price and performance.

Well, no other track bikes to compare though!? It sounds like almost each and every review and comment I
ve read about the BK. Great bike all around! I still wonder if they more relaxed geo of the Goldsprint isn
t suitable enough for my riding. I neither go 45 km/h in traffic nor do I ride on the track or doing miles. I just want to commute and bomb some hills every now and then :) -
