Yeah, well done bristol. totally made a 9hour drive completely worth it. great to see some really free flowing polo on display and consistent decent reffing even if i struggled with it at times.

if you find a frame, ive got some beautiful colnago carbon forks you could have for 65squid

after a lightweight 104 bcd, 33t chainring so something in the 7075 alu flavour. Perhaps renthal, e13 or blackspire. dont fancy paying full whack for one as am not sure it will give a gearing im entirely happy with hence im going down the secondhand route. will pay postage to glasgow.

i totally agree with you john H. Its not going to affect me but im just worried that my team mates wont have time to sort it out. i guess i posted in a huff because of the short notice. We dont really check the london forum much and had chris who came up to play with us yesterday not suggested i check here for the team confirmation then we wouldnt have even seen that this was a new rule.

my team mates run gears! will they have to convert to ss in the next three days considering they will be at work all up until friday with their bikes packed in the car on wednesday night??? Its extremely short notice and as much as i agree with this rule it just seems that perhaps a better solution 'just for this tournament' would be to make shin pads a requirement regardless of how many folk will moan about it. Of course we'll try and comply but thats a big setback for some of us!

What time do you guys play and where exactly is it? like i said earlier, no bike no mallet but i would really appreciate it if i could get a couple of games as i just love playing polo and just want to play polo all the time. My misses isnt impressed that im wanting to play polo while im on holiday but she does not understand....

Cant really do thursdays as good as that sounds as i arrive next thursday and leave on the wednesday after that. I could go on thursday but im just visiting the misses and considering she aint seen me since april i dont think she will let me go so the monday session is the one i have my eye on as she is netballing that night as well so it suits me nicely.
The standard is pretty good amongst the few that play up here and often the edinburgh lot come through and they are good too but i have heard you london lot are pretty talented so would love to sort of come along and play with people playing a different style of game to help me up my game. Unfortunately cant afford or justify bringing my bike down so will have to just hope someone will be kind and let me use theirs for a match or two.... and mallet??

Err hello? Based up in glasgow where i polo twice a week. Been playing for about six months so im not great but im down in london next week and would love to come along and borrow a bike and mallet off someone and have a quick game. Ill be in the kingston area. Is that close to where you play? and do you play only on thursday or on other days as well??
