Might be worth a quick experiment if we can't get sponsored netting. That stuff is pretty tough, and the ball is very light.

The other option would be doubling up the bottom meter. Above that it just needs to be catching scoops and deflections

What about using garden bird netting - super cheap, lives out doors, light weight...
