Yup, thanks to Ed and TS on sunday and everyone that allowed us to take presious HH time!
And thanks tonight to (In no particular order), Fuschia, Jimmy, Pickering, Ben, Julia, Ali, Ben 2, maddie, Antonio and errr... I think two others (alexsandra?)? Changing ref teams every chucker is the future.
And of course to Hemlock yesterday and Westway today, we were pretty shit against hemlock, but were really close to westway... oh shit that reminds me...
Yeah thanks everyone for reffing, it was a fun game

Ok I got beagle to send me a picture of the scores taken from our match yesterday... (He's got the book, but wasn't the score keeper, mentioning no names! :)
So the headlines are:
Thundershalfts 5 : Schlong Slots 24
Ana 3
Io 1
Julia 1Louis 13
James 7
Jackie 4I was a bit groggy, so I don't actually remember much of the game except Julia complaining about me hooking her mallet when she was in goal for one of Jackie's goals and James scoring an awesome goal after the ref said play on which didn't count because the ref (and us) hadn't noticed that ThunderShafts were busy getting disrobed! :)
And the lights went out in the last few seconds of the game so we just played on in the dark! :)
Ps, did ask beagle for your scores too Jono, he's not got them with him at work but says he'll post them later today.

Oh, I didn't notice that Maddie subbed for another team. I guess if it is an injury and the other team agrees then we can go with it -- but this must be a last resort. If there is any non-league player around to sub that should be the first choice. Thanks.
How would this work re player quality? Both our games have involved subs from other teams due to last minute problems, Maddie for Joe and Louis for Victor, both pretty fair swaps. What if there had been a non league player available but it would have been a dramatic quality difference. Say in our game against Thundershafts both Beagle and Maddie had been available for sub duties - would the rules oblige us to accept the non league player or demand the other team forfeit?

How would people feel about a compromise where we kept one day as sacred (i.e. league games are banned) and the other two as "try to avoids"?
I think we all agree that we want league and throw ins to not get in each other's way. But when you're trying to get six people in the same place at the same time (and when they are all based around souths, as generally league 2 is) it's pretty difficult to block out half the week - especially when people tend to be free then because polo.
But it probably would be practical to say no league games on a Wednesday (or Monday, whatever), and try to avoid them on other days.
Two courts is in theory ok, but from what I've seen the last few times, is even if a court is free. 6 souths players plus 3/4 reffing = not enough people for throw-ins on the other court.

pretty pretty please, if anyone has anything remotely approaching a 26' fork for polo (preferably close to 30' rake/offset and 380 axle to crown) please let me know cause i cant play polo or arrange my league games at the moment cause i broke my fork.
identiti ffx or onza tuff/lite guys apparently would work.
The only issue is that i need at least 215/220mm of steerer...
or if anyone knows where to get them new that isnt sold out that would be awesome too...
aaargI've got the fork I used to run on my pomp (with a 26" wheel), that you can have for a couple of beers, although I don't know what the geo of it is. Can bring it to souths tomorrow if you're around
