Is there a go to set of muduards for bikes without eyelets? I've got raceblade longs which work reasonably well, but is there any nifty hack to get proper mudguards (ie. for bikes with eyelets) working on non-eyelet bikes?

Granted the obvious solution is to get a bike with eyelets...

Quick size comparison between the RideNow ultralight road inner tubes, Vs normal butyl rubber inner tube.

First impressions (without riding)

• super lightweight
  
• very thin, far thinner than latex
  
• don't think I'd class if as supple, it's supple in the same way a plastic bag is, if that makes sense
  
• obviously takes up minimal space, but from the instruction outlines, once inflated, the shape will change permanently
  
  

So far it's freed up a lot of space in my saddle bag, so, a win in that respect.

How does everyone find the arm length for the long sleeve jerseys?

I bought an orange long sleeve (the one on sale) and find the arm length to be too long for the large (though comfortable in the body), the he arm length in the medium is better, but much too tight over the body.

Edit: am 178cm, 78kg. Should I size down and rely on the stretch to see me through?

Ahh yeah you were right. Sorry I didn't realise at the time, I thought you were referring to the limit screws on the derailleur, I didn't know they had them in the shifter.

So the left hand shifter has all been set up now, it seems to be working fine; if a little stiff to click through the gears. I understand this is to be expected to Campag until it beds in.
Turns out I just hadn't downshifted enough originally, in addition to the cable tension/limit screws being set incorrectly, which was leading to the issue. Odd as i'd definitely clicked down as much as possible.

In addition to the other issue mentioned with the RH shifter, the cable wasn't seated correctly, and took about an hour to get sorted.

Ahh, thanks very much. I've just picked the bike up and have spoken to Merlin, who said they can send me a new lever on the same day they receive the old one. Just a faff having to take out the cabling etc.

Right, bike shop have to shifting fine, but they've highlighted an issue with the RH shifter (see pics attached), apparently there's a bolt sticking out near the thumb shifter. Does anyone know if this is fixable or a warranty jobby?

Great, thank you. Given that the shifters are brand new, i'd be hoping for a warranty replacement from Merlin. Having said that, I have cut the hoses etc. so not sure warranty would necessarily still stand.

I'm taking it to Via Ateliar tomorrow. Condor are booked up until the new year. Will let you know how we get on...

Sadly no luck, the ratchet ring is tight and the cable looks to be installed correctly.

I've taken a video of the shit mechanism, it behaves the same with or without any tension in the cable, ie. It's not 'clicking' into big ring so to speak.

Brifters came with cables already installed, I just had to put the outers on. I'd have hoped they'd been installed correctly in the first place.

Truth be told building this bike has been such a faff from the get go, Merlin sending the wrong parts etc., I can't quite be bothered to undo the bar tape and redo the cabling.
I might admit defeat and take it to Condor on Monday.

I think you're right. I'm providing tension on the cable with my hand, but it's making no impact. The lever wont 'click' into place at all.

Additionally, the thumb shifter isn't 'clicking' down, it travels about 1cm then seems to be blocked by something.

No, not at all. It'll pull the cable, but won't click into place at all

This is 12 speed chorus and is brand new out the box, so I'm hopeful isn't a fault. I've also just installed the cables and internal routing etc., So really hoping I don't have to redo that!

Sadly not! I've turned the shifters inwards slightly, didn't 0ut a ferrule on the brifter end of the cable, as YouTube suggests, and that's about it .

I can move the lever inwards, but it doesn't click into place and just comes right back to where it starts.

The fun continues: i'm trying to sort out the front derailleur whilst i wait for some hardwear for the rear to turn up.

For some reason, the left hand shifter won't 'click' when i change up into the big ring. It'll pull the cable, and move the front mech cage as if to move the chain onto the big chain ring, but it doesn't 'click' into place, the mech just falls back down to the inner ring. Even without tension on the cable i'm unable to click into the big ring. Any ideas?

Not built it yet, just don't want to cut cables too short and screw myself over!
