Thanks all for the help. I'm not getting anywhere with Condor. I left the bike with them today and they've concluded that everything should compress nicely when I built the bike up properly and compress the topcap etc. I bought it as a frame and fork so haven't got to the full build stage yet. They use the same size headset bearing on all integrated frames.
Again, i'm incredibly dubious. Every bike on the showroom floor has a significantly smaller gap between fork and headtube, even the customer sales team acknowledge there's a bigger gap on my frame than the others.
I've concluded that if there's nothing else they can do, I'll try and build it up and see if that works - on the proviso that if that doesn't fix the problem they'll find another solution, despite me having to cut the steerer etc.

Emailed the shop and they said they've shown the mechanic who's confirmed it's within tolerance. I'm going to email back now and see where it gets me.

I thought so. This is Condor, so not a small/inexperienced shop. There's no way the lower bearing is going to compress any further without some serious tool usage.

What's the solution in this case? A different lower bearing with a different angle?

New bike, picked up from the shop on Friday. Lower headset bearing doesn't sit very flush with the fork crown, there's a c.5mm gap.

Shop says this is within tolerance and will decrease once headset is tightened, i'm sceptical.
Last pic is of the same model on the showroom floor, with no gap between fork/frame. Is this normal?
Note; 2nd pic just shows the fork crown. 3rd pic shows headset pushed down as far as possible.

Ideally, yes, but I can't get them tilted up anymore (whilst keeping them inward facing a bit) without damaging the bars >:(

Probably BDHU from me. Deda bars don't play nice with Campagnolo levers if you want them slightly inward turning.

Yeah, after looking with a fresh set of eyes, it looks like the right hand brake set they sent is for the international standard, not the UK standard. Very frustrating!

Groupset also arrived with two of the same callipers. Both are 160 rear callipers, is that deliberate? Do I just need an adaptor for the front?

Gotcha, thanks both. In that case think it's probably necessary to buy some cable outers from Condor or something.

@amey can your eagle eyes spot whether the frame has stops or not? To me it looks like there's a cable stop before the outer enters the frame.

Campagnolo chorus disc set arrived from Merlin today. The shifters have come with full hydraulic hoses, but very very short shift cable outers. This will be for an internally routed frame, but I was always under the impression that shift cable outers ran the whole length of the inside of the frame. Or am I wrong on that, never done internal cabling before

Ah, didn't know that! Yeah for roadie use I didn't really see the point, but i can understand it for MTB's.

Looks great, really tidy when it's all put together. I agree with the anti-fidlock sentiment, they always struck me as a solution looking for a problem.

Following my earlier comment, I think I'll go chorus 12 speed for my next build. I've just read that it's very finnicky to set up, especially on an internally routed frame. If this is true, does anyone have any setup tips? This will be my first internally routed frameset.

Ceramic coatings for bikes, like gtechniq, are they any good? I like the idea of dirt/water not really sticking the the paint. Anyone had any experience?
