Well, when I say finished, I only have a fixed gear on the rear at the moment so the rear brake calipers and cable are not fitted. You never know I might leave it like that if I get used to it!
Anyway, the frame and forks are a 56cm Carlton Professional from 1979, full 531, powdercoated candy blue and with a new set of orginal sickers fitted.
Wheels are Sun Rims MZ14s with Formula hubs and DT Swiss spokes.
Brake(s) Shimano 600 calipers with Tigra R550 levers.
Stumery Archer cranks - running 46/18 at the moment.
I originally rebuilt it as original road bike with Shimano Arabesque group set (see last pic) but as I have two other road bikes converted it to single-speed today and love the looks! (Do not tell the guys on Retro-Bike as I will probably get thrown off there for this!)
Hope you like it. Was planning to sell it once finished, but I have put so much work into it I am keeping it for now....

Converting my Romani to fixed gear as I fancy trying it and already have a modern Cannodale and late '70's Carlton in the garage.
Here it is with the groupset taken off and the wheels and bars fitted. I have a Sturmey Archer on the way, and a chain in the draw, so should be up and running by next weekend when better pics will be posted.

This bike is 99% as new. I have the receipt for £600 paid on the 2nd June this year. One small nick on the fork and a couple of very minor marks on the cranks are the only signs that it is not new.
The Elite has the better E5 aluminium frame, FACT carbon forks and better shifters than the basic Sirrus. It is a superb hybrid bike.
Spcialzed size is Small, but I am 5' 10" and still not at the full extent of the seat post. I would say it is fine for anyone from about 5' 4" to 5' 11".
I bought it locally a month ago from the original owner because he had been made redundant and needed the money :( but he was happy to get a quick sale. However I have only ridden it once as I have four other bikes, and I do prefer full on road bikes rather than hybrids. I thought the wife might like it, but she wants me to restore a 'traditional' sit up and beg with a basket!
So first come first served at only £295. It also comes with vouchers for free first service and then money off vouchers for further services and ride outs with Evans.
The bike can still be bought new for £500.
http://www.evanscycles.com/products/specialized/sirrus-elite-2012-hybrid-bike-ec030146Collection would be from Howden in East Yorkshire, but I will pack up carefully and courier for an extra £25.
I am keeping all the other bits on the receipt, sale is for the bike only!
Any questions, just ask, but no offers at this price please. It’s a very good buy.

Off to Dubai in the morning so I'll leave it for sale as a complete bike until I get back Wednesday night. If it hasn't gone by then I'll think about splitting as at least a dozen people have PM'd me for the frame and forks. No dibs on parts until I'm back and decided that is what I'm going to do!
Oh, and I have these TT forks as well that I will through in for nowt if someone buys the whole bike. Full carbon, cut to 175mm.
