Cardio, gets that heart rate up and a bit of conditioning. Worst thing about being at my upper bodyweight weight as a lifter was doing 3 flights of stairs and being absolutely dead at the top!

I've rescued an old Panasonic compact from a lifetime of draw abandonment to live in my bag. It has a "macro" mode and I've enjoyed stalking some critters with it. Most are out of focus, or only partly focused because of the shallow dof, but the occasional few come out OK.

You're not there yet, this may be relevant to elite/trained people to a marginal extent but for someone who is just starting 5x5 you're over thinking it.
My advice would be to look at your daily and weekly totals - as long as you're not doing anything silly like eating all your food on the 7th day you really won't notice much of a difference when you consume your protein.

The first few months of your 5x5 gains are going to be CNS adaptations, you're 14 stone so you have the muscle mass there to cover the first few months of progression, your body is just learning how to use it. Once CNS is firing optimally you'll start adding muscle and need extra protein but at the moment your body isn't thinking "oh shit, I better put on some muscle size"

Starting to bulk now is good, means you'll be ready to cut come early spring ready for summer hols guns out.

I'm also stalking a huge beast of a possible buzzard (X large red kite size, fan tail not forked, different call to any red kite I've heard) around the local woods, it drops rabbits when you disturb it and looks way too large to make it through trees. No pics yet though. One day!

Anyone know any good 'tubers that teach how to pose people for photos? Helpful cues to give, angles to avoid... I'm absolutely shit at photographing people, especially if they have little self confidence and feel like I turn everyone I point a camera at into a sack of potatoes.

whoever gets the Tory leader role is going to have a tough time. The calculation has to be whether to leave Johnson in role or to get rid of him and hope things improve.

Also CWU said they are going to ballot today and NEU have said they will if they don't get an inflationary pay rise so could be fun times ahead for the Government, Raab came out this morning and said they can't let the RMT "win" as it will let others get ideas above their station

RM/CWU pay issues started back in Feb when RM failed to engage in payrise talks. RM later offered a conditional rise with ridiculous conditions and now ended with "Well, we tried but CWU won't budge, here's 2%". There is a separate dispute ongoing for conditions, which will come to a head later in the summer I think. I don't know about the BT/CWU details though.
The decision for CWU to ballot for industrial action against RM has nothing to do with the RMT situation at the moment, it's a result of months of heel dragging already. I'm sure the timing will be portrayed as copy-cat though.

Will Haven at the Underworld last night was the absolute bomb, played Carpe Diem in full, start to finish. I hold them in pretty high regard, Carpe Diem was on heavy rotation through my 20's along with Deftones' Around The Fur and Adrenaline so getting to see this at the Underworld was huge. Sound wasn't great, but is was loud and heavy and they played their all. Absolutely epic, still buzzing!

I could, but I'm too busy paying my private landlord over the mortgage rate to be able to get near my own mortgage. Not only that, but also what Nationwide deem to be "affordable" is a shitty 2 bed flat in the wrong end of a newtown development. Or I can keep renting my little house in the green belt with a garden and off-road parking... I'm not trading down just to "own" my own shitty flat.

Ditto on the branded stuff, like not even 10% on pre-covid (GSW still £28/£50 for small/big tubs for example) from the regular retailers. But seems a lot of the branded heavy discounters went bust/gave up over covid?

If I throw my mind back 20+ years my then G/F had one which I hated, it felt too small and wouldn't stay in tune for anything. At the time I had an Epiphone SG and a Yamaha Pacifica and she also had a Gordon Smith, it was the least favourable of the 4.
