I paid about £30.
Its a smooth movement compared to a normal quartz watch (not ticking per se as much as humming round), but I can't get it to move other than adjusting the hands.Worth sending back you think? maybe trying a local watch mender, or would that be really expensive?
Thanks for the help too!

Hi folks. I'm in need of your expertise. I don't know so much about watches, and as it was ending i put a hasty bid in for a watch pretty much the same as the one on this link; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/genuine-vintage-SEIKO-5-AUTOMATIC-JAPAN-MENS-D-D-WATCH-WITH-WARRANTY-BID-2-WIN-/181410112307?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item2a3ce2a333
(sorry for shit link-ness) my watch was bought off these same people. It's an awesome colour green, and doesn't have the 'Japan made' bit. but other wise the same. Im not fussed if its genuine really, except its stopped. And sending it back to india doesn't really appeal (costs and such). I've taken it to an H Samuels who say if its fake, they'd have to confiscate it! Any advice on the real-ness of it. and what to do?
Cheers!!! -

Just seen this thread. If nothing comes of the below email, I might have to follow some of the advice. Just sent this to TfL:
Hi,I would like to make a complaint about one of your drivers.
The incident happened at 6:30pm on 03/05/14 at the junction between Bloomsbury Road and Southampton Row. My girlfriend and I were waiting on our bicycles at a red light indicating to turn right. The cabbie in question was behind us. My girlfriend and I were side by side in the road so that we would not be cut up when the lights changed green. With the lights still red, the cab pulled around us, about half way past me and half on the left hand lane. The lights turned green and the cab cut sharply back in front of me narrowly missing me. At which point I tapped the cabs back left window with the intention of letting the driver know that he had behaved dangerously at to let him know that I how close he was. The driver stopped briefly and then accelerated and turned sharply left, veering dangerously close to my girlfriend who was in front of me. He drove as close to her as possible and turned right at the last minute so as to make her ride into the pavement. I do not think this was an accident, but a deliberate attempt to intimidate or even hit her. The driver then accelerated away down Southampton Row towards Theobalds Road. The driver had now cut us up twice deliberately. As the traffic was slow he had to stop soon and I was easily able to catch him. I went to the driver side window to confront him. At which point he started swearing profusely at me for tapping his window. Words to the effect of 'Why the f*k did you hit my window?!' I told him why. I was understandably angry at this point and I'm certain I swore back at him. He continued yelling. He called me a ct at least twice and threatened to get out the car and knock me out. Words like 'You don't want me to get out the car cos I'll knock you out' and similar threats. After the exchange had continued for a short time, I decided to give up. I told him to get lost, and the cabbie drove on. At this point we were next to the bus stop on Southampton Row (Theobalds Road Southampton Row, bus stop X). I remember this because I apologised to the people waiting. My girlfriend and I continued, but the cab had stopped at the next lights, and we did not want to cycle close to him again. We got off the road, and took out our phones, and managed to get photos of both of his number plates. The photo from behind actually shows him cutting up another unconnected cyclist whilst trying to get away from our cameras.
His number plate is T323 AGH. I think his license number is 54700, or possibly 51700, the cab is light blue with advertising of some sort on.I realise that tapping his window may be seen as not the correct way to have proceeded, but having been dangerously overtaken, it doesn't seem like an over reaction. There was no need to attempt to pass us in the first place seeing as the traffic so slow we would have overtaken him in a very short time. That he then swerved dangerously and deliberately towards us and mainly my girlfriend easily justifies my worries over this driver. Tapping a window should in no way justify the torrent of abuse and threats that this driver then gave me. I would like to add that I in no way retorted with a threat. There would be many witnesses to this incident, but unfortunately both of us were quite shaken and have no contacts for witnesses.
Attached are the two photos of his number plate.
Please let me know how you proceed in this matter.Thank you,
Legomartian..Im not out of line in any way am I?

If anybody sees this;
being ridden, or anywhere, feel free to beat the living shit out of the rider/ pm me.
It was stolen this afternoon from my work in Rathbone Place, and although is not so expensive, I'd really like it back.
Its a Dolan Track Champion in raw, Sugino messengers and shimano front wheel (sorry its not the best pic) -
3 guys on Whitechapel road just now... I thought they were a pack so I gave chase. A guy on a red and white fuji with expensive wheels flew off so i followed him, caught up at Valance road and DAS'd. I dont think he understood, though he looked very 'on here'. He seemed pretty happy to be noticed, so I didn't look too much of a moron

slightly looking for myself in here, and didn't know what DAS meant... heres from urban dictionary
'It illustrates to the remainder of the general public that you are a member of the elite London cycling squad LFGSS and makes them all super jealous.
Like OMG right, I saw this guy last night and he DAS'd me, I wouldn't have minded but I had some serious pace and it slowed me down a bit' -

Cheers. I think I know a place.
I went to H Samuel because i figured they'd know. I also wanted a strap for an old school digital casio, and a battery, and they could do neither.
Ta!
