What is art and what is design? if it is art it's applied art (the decoration of an object) not fine art. In this case the whole is no longer as the artist intended - therefore no longer art, and no longer a usable frame - it is now as much art as a $10 note Britney Spears has snorted Devil's Dandruff through is a valid piece of music memorabilia .

Hi Scilly Suffolk. Thanks - I think Zullo and Pegoretti are amongst the most interesting of current frame makers. I'm probably not going to use an ahead stem but if I cut the forks then I prob would want to -you know how it is. I may at some point go for Campag 9 speed, with Shamals , Ahead stem etc -who knows.
My son's bike was red already and the yellow is vinyl -which I hand cut with vinyl machine cut decals -he loves it but he's not having my spare Deltas on it !!! -

NOW GONE TO EBAY No space in the household for the Zullo, Mountain Bike, Pub bike and Gixer 6 trackday bike So Carrera has to go. Probably not a good time of year to sell but should be a bargain for someone and space for me.
For Sale is my Carrera 57cm Frame, Forks and Campagnolo Chorus headset , Campagnolo Record 1st Generation Dual Pivot brake calipers,C-Record era (Chorus I believe) brake levers and C Record era Chorus 27.0 seat post. SEATPOST SOLD
The Frame is 57cm, circa 1992/ & Almost certainly built by Battaglin ( I have seen identical frame with Battaglin dropouts) who made most of the frames for Carrera during the Stephen Roche - Marco Pantani era or Podium who still make the real Carrera (NOT THE HALFORDS offerings). Frame was NOS when I built the bike up and has done about 25 miles to set up. The NOS Chorus headset was fitted by Jon at Chelmer Cycles and he also cleaned /dressed the BB threads with the Campagnolo tool.(£60)
There are a few minor scratches marks from storage but nothing really noticable -all original paint looks absulutely superb and the three different metalic greens painted on the black really look brilliant.
FRAME , FORKS AND CHORUS HEADSET FINAL PRICE THEN EBAY!!!! - £**290 **all reasonable offers considered ( a similar new steel Podium Carrera Lima frameset is $2594.95)Campagnolo 1st Generation Record Brakes (1993/4) (these had just the Campagnolo logo ) (no shoes or pads) really clean -small rub mark on top of one.
PRICE DROP £40Campagnolo C Record era (Chorus) levers and hood - really nice small nick to one hood and one aero plug missing) would like £40
As a package Frame, Forks, Chorus Headset, Record Calipers and Chorus levers I would consider offers over £300 ( I just need the space and I'm getting so tempted to buy some of the cheap wheelsets on this site and build the frame up - which would really piss my wife off )
Campagnolo C Record era Chorus seat post nice condition above limit line - scratches below (see pics)
SOLD
