Thanks all for a lovely day and for Booga for agreeing to meet us at the top of a hill. Hope to see you all for part 2 next week.
Thanks Katy, and indeed the whole group, for a great ride today! I would never have done anything like it without your help and encouragement. I will try and see you all again next Friday, if possible.

Let’s go wild swimming!
Thursday 16 August – Clifton Hampden
50 mile roll over the Chilterns to swim in the Thames. Quite bumpy in the middle, so gears might not be a bad idea if you’re no fan of hills.
Depart Iver Station 9.15 (trains out from Paddington 8.27 – arr 8.51 or 8.38 – arr 9.03)

Is anyone from the City area up for doing a ride in Richmond Park tomorrow (Friday)?
Here's the catch: I arrived here yesterday from Toronto and just got my road bike re-assembled. I'm staying near Monument tube station and I have no idea how to get to Richmond Park (no GPS on my bike). More importantly, I've never ridden on the left-hand side of the road and I would feel more comfortable getting there with other riders. So if someone wanted to ride there from City, I would be grateful for the help.

Hello all,
I arrived yesterday from Toronto and just had my road bike re-assembled (so glad it made it through the plane ride). I am staying in the "City" area of London for a month and I would like to do some rides on weekdays (whenever the roads are least busy). Could any of you recommend a group I could join or know any people who go out? I would love to do some rides in the country--I worry about riding through city streets alone as I have never ridden on this side of the road before. I can sustain at least 25km/hr, in terms of riding with an appropriately paced group. If anyone has any suggestions for me, I will be eternally grateful!
Going to do a few laps around Richmond Park tomorrow morning, if anyone is interested...
