It’s probably gore-tex pro which is the far more durable than ordinary gore-tex and what guides in climbing/ski places wear as consumer stuff can’t take the wear.
You may well be right, which makes it even more mystifying why they haven't made a big play on this in the description. Or, indeed, explicitly mentioned it at all. It's like they don't actually want to sell any.

There's a bewildering amount of stuff in the manual, fuck knows when I'll get round to reading it properly. I just like playing with the knob!
I'm still trying to get over the fact that my new and as-yet-unused Nef induction hob has Wifi and Bluetooth connectivity, and may require firmware upgrades. WTAF.

The AGM is £111 an the GEL is £73 (plus any postage costs)
Is AGM 50% better?Quite possibly not, but having gone cheap on batteries in the past, and having had them die on me at really, really inconvenient times (like on the grid at Donington Park for example, just before a race) I always go for Yuasa these days if I can.

I've started undoing the general bodgery and hackery carried out by the person who fitted my kitchen, who is from Tuesday officially sacked from the job. I think this is my favourite so far. Structural shims installed with silicone sealant because the noggins installed to mount the radiator brackets to weren't fitted flush with the studs. Yes, they're bits of cardboard.

Anyone laid self leveling. I've got to do it next week. ... Slightly concerned
Don't be. It's very easy. Mix it up, spread it around, leave to settle. Just don't do what I did at an ex's flat, and lay it all over the hall floor without working out how you're going to leave the flat while it's drying.

I used adhesive rubber feet when I did similar (presuming this is for base). In combination with the weight gave plenty of grip, and slight clearance from worktop makes them much easier to pick up when you are want to move.
I like this plan. I was going to use sheets of chequer plate effect rubber I've got loads of, due to a cm/mm mix-up on my part, but feet would definitely make them easier to pick up.

Did you rescue it from the skip?!
Not me, no. In the end they managed to reuse one of the four pieces, decided that one was potentially reusable, but the other two weren't worth keeping due to the cut-outs for the hob and sink, so they made them into a couple of chopping boards for me to make up for having cocked it up first time round.

Me too, but the backsplash is going to be glass, and the quartz on the window sill is a different thickness, and also needs to be recut. Apparently there's only one piece which is potentially reusable, and they don't think there's any real chance of finding it a home. It probably doesn't help being out in the wilderness of the Fens. Limited market.

Same here. Powder coat masking tape is much easier to use and much more reliable in use.
