Was talking to a colleague earlier who is apparently planning on getting up at 3am on Sunday to cycle the closed London 100 route before the event starts for real. I'm not sure how I feel about it...
On one hand, I applied this year, didn't get in and was gutted as I've done it a couple of times before and absolutely buzzed off it. But on the other hand, is it a bit cheeky? Won't there be officials along the route that'll tell you to do one? Will a lot of the route still be open to traffic at that point? (not that that matter, I guess)
Opinions???

Bar bag has now been sold separately
My commute has gone from 15 miles to 1, so I've bought something fast and uncomfortable instead. This is now surplus to requirements but has done me proud over a year and a half...
· Ribble Winter Audax 7005 "Large" frame (58cm C2T) (see their website for more info)
· Standard finishing kit as supplied by Ribble - Carbon fork, carbon seat post, Deda bars (double-wrapped, for your pleasure). The saddle is a Giant item which despite being a cheap one that came with an old bike, I find very comfortable.
· 10 Speed Tiagra Groupset, but with upgraded 105 derailleur, chain and shifters (the latter to allow fitment of bar bag)
· Shimano R500 Wheels with Conti contact tires (sidewalls have cracks, but tread is good. never had a puncture, touches wood)
· Tubus lightweight rack
· Pedals not included
Bought from member @StreetE (original post - https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/310059/#comment13851558), changes since then are tires & 105 shifters. Plus, removal of the stem extender.
The bike is located in E17, available for view or test ride.
Pictures to follow tomorrow!
£300, £250, £225 Now £200

Bought from the PinkBike forum about a year ago to use as a commuter, but it's just a touch too small for me (I'm 6ft). I tried to make it work as I really love the bike but I don't have the space to keep it so....
-The frame is aluminium and around 55cm c-t (will double check this in work tomorrow and edit the ad along with more measurements), which is in fair condition for it's age with purely cosmetic flaws
-Carbon forks w/alu steerer
-Indexed downtube shifters
-105 front (triple) and rear (7spd) derailleurs
-Mavic MA2 front rim laced to 105 hub
-Mavic OpenPro rear laced to 105 hub (10spd w/ spacers for 7spd cassette)
-Vittoria Rubino tyres
-Tiagra brakes
-Deda quattro stem
-Deda chrononero bars**pedals not included
Would consider a swap for something a little bigger which will take/already has panniers. Geared or fixed.
Looking for £250 but open to offers.
Cheers!
Tom

There were some good posts a while back about first builds. This was my premiere, circa 2009... where do you start? Antique saddle at a very questionable angle, gold half-link, sacrificial Peugeot road frame, original crankset hand-painted with Hammerite...
