Done it a few times - it's as hard as you want it to be tbh.
It's a great weekend to watch the race, just make sure you're in the velodrome nice and early to get a spot (and make sure you've made it to the right side of the road, the road closures are much more militant.
Only other piece of advice is you MUST MUST MUST do the full route. The 'medium' route just trundles outbound and the first pave section is Arenberg, which is a) brutal and b) pretty much the most glorious bit of the ride. Tbh you want some cobble miles in your legs to get a feel for them because Arenberg is just a primal beast-mode effort to make sure you get over it without getting stuck behind anyone going down!
Best cycling weekend of the year!

Does anyone know if (DA) satellite/sprint shifters can be plugged direct into the (5 port) junction box (and not, as per normal installs, into the ports in the levers).
Hoping to use the first gen sprint shifters as climbing shifters on the flats, tho it's easier routing if the wires go straight into the junction box...

Mirrors my experience too. Back in the day when they had a monopoly on Cycle2Work (well, they did at my firms scheme), was especially galling to see them give as little fucks as humanly possible, knowing you had no choice but to throw your cheque at them.
Cycle Surgery (at all the ones I've used) are like a parallel universe of customer service.

https://www.wtb.com/pages/road-plus was a handy list when I went gravel, shopping. Maybe a bit out of date now though?

Got the email to say my Ti gravel frame is ready from Wittsons. Happy days!
Got 3 wheelsets, going with 700x30 Challenge Strada Bianca's, 700x36 Challenge Gravel Grinders, and 650bx2.1" Rocket Rons (it was spec'd to have the clearance, clarence - road fork in shot is for the pic).
I'll be running cable pull discs (so I can have crosstop levers), and di2 - I was assuming Ultegra would be the set of choice, though I might stretch to DA as I'm having to buy the brakes etc seperately. Unless I should take heed from the theme of this thread and get an xt setup (Definitely having a double on the front)?

Anyone else had experience where this has worked(i.e. turning up to a later/different slot than your allocated one)? I'm 2.5 hours ahead of my brother (actually in the first group of the day owing to some time estimation porkies improve my ballot chances!) so would rather do a start time nearer to his..
'kinell!
