How long is the long steerer? I would like something like these (ie able to take a lowrider rack & panniers) but would also like a long steerer for plenty of stack in touring mode, so was thinking I'd prob need to buy new to get something uncut. 28 - 30cm would be ideal.
ltc - I have these for sale if they are any good to you? https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/385498

Hi - I am after some MTB wheels to upgrade a bike that has very heavy basic wheels on it with the aim of making it a bit lighter. So they don't need to be super-fancy but something middle of the road should do it.
Other requirements...
- 9sp shimano freehub body
- 6-bolt disk hubs
- The bike's not set up tubeless so ideally an older non-tubeless rim
- The front is a 15mm TA, the rear is 9mm QR. I have spare endcaps to convert Hope hubs to this spec so they would work well
- don't need tyres
- do need just one 160mm rotor but obviously can get that elsewhere, does not have to be with the wheels
Probably needs posting, I am near Manchester. Anyone got anything? There are some on ebay but the BIN ones seem a bit overpriced and I never get around to bidding on the others so a sale here would be much easier. Thanks!

Thanks for update! bike looks great - I think the slightly odd chain/seat stays start to look quite good when the bike has loads of stuff hanging on it.
In your original thread you mentioned replacing your Galaxy with this - would that be for fully loaded touring / have you tried front and rear panniers? That's one thing I'd like to do with it.
I saw a thread on reddit about the headset being hard to adjust...looks like the Winspace fork steerer is ovalised for internal routing and it seems the supplied bungs/spacers aren't that easy to get right - but possibly you avoided this with the Carbonda fork?

I am pretty sure I have both of those, left over from acquiring a 9sp groupset from here, and have been thinking about moving them on. Just about to head away for a few days, can update ~Fri 7th if you have not found anything by then, but meanwhile the orig post is here: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/337780/ and the bar ends, brake levers and crosstops are all unused at the moment (crosstops did get a bit of use in between then and now)

Thanks for checking - I'll read up about that ebay part and see if they are considered a good idea. I saw your other ones and was really tempted, a good price and I have some spare Hope adapters already for the 15mm axle, but was just a bit reluctant because of the 3-arm disk and getting a new one when it wears out. But then it takes years for me to get through a rotor - still got some from 2012 on the summer wheels of my usual bike.

I would be up for these to replace some very basic wheels on an old 26er that deserves much better (a Marin Mount Vision Pro from 2006). But it's got a fork with a 15mm axle. Does the Specialized front hub look like it can be converted? Or given it is already 20mm and I want use a 15mm axle then maybe this is all I need - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125283498631 - but not used one before and it doesn't seem as neat as converting the hub itself.
If this does work I'd have to take you up on postage if that is OK... would not need tyres which might help get them in a box... and wouldn't need the cassette either. But if one of the rotors was 160mm then that would be useful.

I've not tried it, but you could have a look at https://www.pairups.co.uk/ ?

Down to £80
I think these forks appear in various other OEM guises, eg these at Spa look pretty similar (crown / red sticker) even if otherwise a different configuration (tapered / post mount) - https://www.spacycles.co.uk/m21b0s29p4094/SPA-CYCLES-Elan-Mk1-%28QR%29-Carbon-Alloy-Fork

Fairly sure it is 2015, I remember seeing that colour at the London Bike Show that year. Just looked it up, see page 38 of https://www.genesisbikes.co.uk/media/catalogues/genesis/2015_catalogue.pdf

I have this Intec fork for sale:
- 1 1/8" steerer cut to 285mm
- 400mm a2c
- IS disc tabs
- Mudguards eyelets
- Fitted but never used
It is sold as 26" MTB but works with 700 wheels too. I fitted 45mm WTB Riddler tyres which cleared the fork but would not have had space for a mudguard.
I bought it from Ridewill.it who have it on their website here:
https://www.ridewill.it/p/en/ridewill-bike-093505-mtb-carbon-fork-26-1-1-8-disc-is-qr100/238321/
Originally their page said the a2c was 420mm so I thought it would be an ideal fork for my Genesis Vagabond. When it arrived I cut the steerer and fitted it, only to realise the a2c was more like 400mm. Ridewill agreed - the Italian version of the page said exactly that - so it was a typo on the English page. Given that, and me already cutting it, plus shipping hassle, they just gave me a partial refund so I am now selling it on.
Ridewill's price is euro140 ex VAT then I paid VAT and customs fees in delivery, then their refund pretty much covered those extras fees. I cut the steerer and scratched it a bit (see pics below) so discounting it a bit more, how about £100? That will include shipping and paypal fees.

I will make the argument for cycling from the airport! It might be flat but there are some lovely lanes and villages to be found in Cheshire.
I reckon you want to go a bit further south to find the nicer countryside. Your route is tracking along the M56 corridor, which is a bit industrial/flat/boring as others have said. I would recommend a mix of using Tatton Park and Sustrans Cycle Route 70 (aka the Cheshire Cycle Way) which does a good job of finding nice lanes. (can find GPX files for it online)
You'll probably arrive at Terminal 1 (I think, from Oslo). The exits are all on the north side near the railway station. There's cycle lanes connecting onto Thorley Lane and Runger Lane which are quiet enough to cycle. They'll bring you round the airport to where your route currently starts. Head west on your route for a bit. Then dive south through Tatton to Knutsford (worth a quick detour into the center, possible posh lunch stop). Then west to join Sustrans Cycle Route 70 and into Great Budworth then onwards through Delamere Forest to rejoin your route at Bridge Trafford, near Chester.
It could look at bit like this:

thanks. A bit too similar to what I already have unfortunately so will pass. A shame - great price!
