Its a nice looking hub but it doesnt have the friendly spider on it....

Hi - unfortunately the rear spindle snapped last week. My local chap has had a look at it but no luck identifying the hub make or a replacement.
The hub has a wheel on it with a smiling spider in the center. Does anyone recognise this coz I could use some assistance please. (This is what happens when you buy wheels from a geezer.) That said they were good wheels with sealed races and although the rims (came with Remerx rims) are getting past their best, I would like to reuse the hub if possible.
Any information welcomed.

Does anyone know exactly what in hell they are doing with this stretch. It was 'exciting' enough crossing the intersections at each end of the bridge - now they are digging up Farringdon road, forcing all traffic into single lanes, bus lane has gone and all a bit tense. Maybe they are resurrecting the Fleet Ditch?
Blackfriars bridge itself just looks like a huge clusterf**k. All too risky for me, dodging scooters is playing havoc with my blood pressure.
