i think the ones i have look a bit older. the bike has nameless shimano componants, as well as shimano 105 and shimano dura-ace so that angle doesnt help me much... agree though that they could bean earlier version of the 600...?

Can anyone identify these brake levers? I'd like to replace the hoods but hear that they are specific to the levers and hard to find so am reluctant to rip them off without being confident of finding replacements.
I can't find any model type on them or even any pics of similar models on the google... Similarly the shimano hubs don't have a model type ont hem so if anyone knows whether this was normal for shimano products at a particular time period that would be interesting to know too... Thanks for any help.

@theHighlander - you must be right that these are golden arrow, though looking on velobase I found a better link - http://velobase.com/ViewComponent.aspx?ID=8b1d5bfc-0176-4268-8c8b-4c1dfe28f8ff&Enum=118 for what appear to be a version which was replaced soon after by the link you posted.
Mine look identical to yours... though not so shiny... :).
If I decide to get rid of the hoods, I'll keep them for you.
